Astral's Rise Part 63: Angel vs Alice

Angel stood across from her opponent glaring into her eyes, seeing the motives and goals behind her method's. Her wings fluttered softly as Astral had his side poked by Jaimie. "She can win right?" Jaimie whispered as Astral nodded in agreement.

'Just win and don't use my ability until after I take on the douche on the throne.' Angel thought to herself as she zoned out waiting for the fight to commence. Her arms were raised as her wings folded out to their full extent.

"So if that cat was your brother, why are you a bird, that doesn't make sense. But first I will just clip your wings." Alice taunted her, being a full foot taller than Angel she peered down to the bird. Grinding her knuckles ice surrounded them.

"You see, you won't win this matchup." Achilles sat on the throne cackling. "Kill the bird." Achilles gave the order as Astral put his arms up stopping the trio standing behind him. Alice threw down a left handed swing to Angel's right shoulder as it was knocked off target by a gust of wind.

Alice then stood still as Angel did as well. Taking a few steps back Angel wanted to watch her opponent closely. Alice wanted to see how strong those wings are, slowly forming a snowball in her hand.

Angel clicked as the sounds and sights came together for her. Looking over at her brother to find the motivation for what she was ready to do was the window that Alice was looking for. Throwing the snowball directly at Angel's head, pinpoint accurate.

All that was heard was a sudden thrashing of her wings as the snowball flaked completely back at her opponent. Alice charged in, she knows the speed of the wings. Holding an ice dagger in her hand she pushed it right next to Angel's throat, being prepared to shove it in.

Angel landed a strong jab into the core of Alice before a gust of wind from her wings sent her back. It was Angel's turn to be on the offensive. Closing the gap she soared in from above. Diving in and launching two kicks at Alice's head. Both being redirected by her fists as her feet had an icy chill to them. Landing on her hands Angel watched as Alice tried to grab onto her leg.

Lifting off of the ground with her arms she was able to look directly into the eyes of her opponent. Her aura hadn't taken a scratch yet. Alice reached up to smash in Angel's skull as with one flick of her wings, both legs came down to send Alice crushing into the ground.

Angel landed and readied herself for more, they were far beyond resilient. Alice stood up as she slowly formed a ball of ice in one hand. Angel swooped in, sending a punch at her shoulder creating an ice ball. Alice blocked it with her free hand as Angel brought her left leg up to kick to smack Alice in the face, falling just shy as Alice backed up from the attack before closing her fist and smashing the iceball all through the room.

The sudden chill in the room froze most surfaces, as for people. Jaimie covered James' in his entirety as Astral threw up the bubble shield charm. Angel however felt the full blast from the frozen assault. Her joints stiffen as her wings stayed still. This is why she hated this weather.

Alice closed the gap and grabbed onto the bird, Wrapping her arms around the skull of Angel as she loosened her muscles. Snapping her arms, Alice had snapped Angel's neck as she fell lifeless to the ground, her body collapsing along the icy floor, her head turned to Astral and the rest.

Jaimie's eyes dropped as everyone tried to charge out of the bubble shield as the frosty area around Angel melted. The entire room melted as everyone stood still. Astral just looked and smiled. Jaimie looked down and saw his smile. The relief of seeing him smile is good enough for her.

Alice and Achilles threw their arms looking over at Astral as the room heated up. "That's all she could muster. Pathetic." Alice spoke as Achilles laughed in the background. Astral just shrugged his shoulders while the three behind him were in awe with what they were watching and how Astral was handling it.

"Ha, you two didn't figure out what animal she was, did you?" Astral's bubble spell dropped as he rolled over her staff. "Very well then." Astral sat back and smiled, scratching James' ears for good luck.

The two Polemistis warriors look over at the one they killed. She was standing up slowly. Her face towards the others. But her arms pointed at Alice who would charge in and send a haymaker at her chest.

The bird vanished before her eyes as all that was heard was a snap as she looked up. Those beady eyes staring back at her on the roof. Her head was finally readjusted as she snickered. "You could try that ice trick again. Oh wait, it's too hot for that now isn't it?" Angel held Jaimie's spear in her hands. The heat was radiating from it as Angel divebombed and slammed her leg into Alice who crumpled like a piece of paper.

Flipping off of the kick she saw her opponent have plenty of shattered bones as she flew around in glee around the room. Landing gracefully next to Astral and giving him a hug. "I'm sorry I let you down." Her aura was gone as she used it all up for her tricks.

"Hey, you did amazing, dropping all of your muscle tension to play dead was great." Astral ruffled up her hair a bit as a cheerful coo came from Angel. "And that speed blitz seems like another level of your ability."

"Whenever we activate our aura at a certain point or lower it means its tolls our body more. Draining from our normal amount of energy." She yawned while talking, Stretching out her arms as she sat down. Astral started to scratch her head in support. "Its more powerful, but not useful in the average circumstance unless you can't pull from aura, James doesn't know it yet but he can figure it out eventually."

"So you are saying he starts the ability by using his energy?" Jaimie asked sitting next to Angel as she rested her head on Jaimie.

"Yeah, pulling from our aura also results in less stacks, but he can build up to it then be significantly better." Angel's voice grew quiet as she fell asleep resting on Jaimie.

"Oh stop boring me, I am so displeased to learn more about you by the minute." Achilles spoke as the medical team helped Alice walk out of the room. "It's time for you to suffer your consequences for coming here." Anger seemed to boil in his voice.

"I can't wait to knock in your teeth." Airsoft stepped forward. "Permission to knock this bastard out myself?" Airsoft asked as Astral nodded. Proto and Omaha were frozen in anticipation.
