Astral's Rise Part 95: Gates

"Which army are we figuring out first?" Astral held up three fingers as Jaimie put two the two on the side, flicking herself off. "Very clear we will start with the easiest one and work our way up in infiltration." Jaimie smiled as Astral created a tunnel using the pocket dimension. They jumped through as their suits fired to life.

The two were in low orbit as the suits vanished from air. The space they occupied opened fire with anti-air fire. Astral and Jaimie pulled off spinning levels of aerial movement. Landing on separate parts of the planet with a very small window to communicate with themselves.

"The empire wouldn't dare launch assassins here, there is only one person who could stop me, and he doesn't have the balls to face me face to face." A lady stood tall at the desk as the radars were going nuts. The seismograph went off in the background on two spots. "Send light squads to investigate, make sure vital monitors are equipped and tell them to not engage." Two officers ran away from the desk as a third stood there.

"Do you think it's from the new presence in the galaxy?" His uniform was dressed in blue and black. In the jumper he backed up as she crushed a glass in her hands.

"I DO NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT THEM!" She pushed him away without touching him. He was pulled backward by an invisible force as the door slammed shut. A sign fell saying 'Valkira The New Age'. One assistant in an orange jumpsuit put the sign back up.

"Jaimie, the channel is open but we are being watched, our suits can hide alot, but this feels different, they aren't threats." Astral typed away in thin air invisible to the squad watching him. All they could hear was his voice. "Just follow the area with the magnetic pull." Astral went silent as the squad watched him with beady eyes, a mix of aliens and humans. All in their own shapes and sizes.

"Deal, love you and see you soon." Jaimie nodded her head being mindful with each step. Being gentle on the ground as she watched every angle around her. This creeped her out as she saw the eyes watching the spot where she was. One human watched her as she moved. She lightly jumped upwards into the canopy as the trees around her shook.

Astral made a diversion. His hand glowed purple as the gravity of the area became zero. Letting all the beady eyes watching him float aimlessly in the area confused at what was happening as Astral sneaked away to the main building. A lot of magnetic metal was used to build it from the feel of it.

Jaimie stretched herself out as she snuck across from tree to tree, imitating a panther as she climbed from branch to branch. The squad lost sight of her as she felt this magnetic presence would mess with their suits. 'So that's what you meant.' She deactivated her suit as it started being pulled by the magnet in the area.

Astral had his suit off as his cloaking was more refined to also hide him as Jaimie shined a green light from the treeline. Astral shined a cyan one back as they found each other. She saw no one around and slowly crawled down the base of the tree. Astral trotted over as she hopped on his back, cloaking the both of them with his one singular unit.

"To the central computer." Astral whispered as the two squads came from the forests around. Both filed in line to enter the door. Astral followed them as the door was about to slam on them. Jaimie caught it and had it slam down behind them. It startled the two teams as Astral and Jaimie dare not move. They kept walking as they went to the center of the building following their demands.

Astral snuck behind them as Jaimie kept people at bay. Making sure nothing was to tarnish their disguise. Once they made it to the command room Valkira stood alone as the squad entered. Jaimie started to type away on the computer as Astral dampened the sound around them.

"What is your report?" Valkira asked as the twenty people all started acting nervous. "Was there anything off about all of this, could you find anyone?"

"There was nothing. Only an indent of something falling." one of the aliens spoke as he got hoisted up. Jaimie's eyes followed him as Astral tapped her calf to keep her focused.

"Well, anything else?" She suspended the man in the air as he looked down in defeat.

"Their stealth tech is beyond anything we have seen, so it's that new faction-" The same eyes that saw Jaimie spoke up. All of the others got flicked upwards as the magnetism of the room pulled everyone but her and the one human up.

Astral concentrated as a light purple glow surrounded his feet as he held Jaimie down. He pointed to Valkira with his finger as she nodded. Getting all the information on her. "What about them?" Valkira bent down at her towering height.

"They saw we weren't threats and avoided us and snuck away." the man shriveled away from her as she slowly grabbed his face and turned it to look into her eyes.

Jaimie tapped Astral's face, she was ready. "What were they?" Valkira asked as the man gulped.

"One female, the other I do not know." A white flash enveloped the room as Astral got them out of there fast. "Fuck." He felt afraid of her wraith as the light blinded all of them in the room.

"You earned a promotion. Have the officers start training you." Valkira dropped the rest of them to the ground as the man bowed. Honored. "You will become one of my personal guardsmen." He was escorted by two officers to a different area. "The rest of you can leave."

They filtered out of the room slowly. Each and every one of them was thankful the wrath of the empress was less than expected.
