Subsequent Fall Part 8: Diplomacy

The senate needed to respond accordingly. There were several issues happening at once, why would God Emperor willingly step down and into the shadows? Even in the twenty planets he exiled himself in, why did so many still support him?

"We have held an emergency meeting for the last eight hours." A woman in golden robes announced. After the incident in the broadcast tower they had issues. Too many. "We are asking for patience and the stoppage of war across the galaxy, we are going to halt all military production and work to have our soldiers become peacekeepers and rehabilitators."

"We also announce that we will no longer have a formal chancellor. They become power hungry warmongers. We can rebuild better out of these last ten years of warfare." The lady's announcement was over. Adam watched as either force now could just roll over the remains of the empire.

"God Emperor's sudden absence is bizarre, and we can't use Astral's trick until later." Adam was thinking out loud as he was welding the wound on Astrid. "With that being said. We now have the right reason to be ready."

"How is that?" Astrid asked as the cogs in her head started rolling.

"The remains of the empire are about to be rolled over by either the rebels or the independants. They still hold massive amounts of territory. God Emperor is self isolating for a reason. Preparing for something, but what?" Adam had reports that the independents were taking back their planets slowly.

"So, we protect the fragile empire while they rebuild back to a stable place?" Astrid rotated her arm as it felt good as new. Clasping her fist as Adam held a thumbs up in front of her face.

"We get to make a deal with them and we do it now. The Ambassador is fully loaded. Zane, how fast can the Ambassador make it to the capital if we changed directions?" Adam looked at the star map.

"Five minutes." Zane changed their course as Adam sent a message to the empire that their capital was going to be invaded in a peaceful manner. The empire readied their defense fleet as the men were wary of what was coming hearing the horror stories of what that fleet did to the empire.

The Ambassador entered view as the empire ships held firm. "One ship, this will be light work." The admiral looked out to his men and ships. "All batteries open fire." The thirty imperial ships started unloading their plasma batteries.

Adam looked back behind him to the twins. "This is where their admiral goes, why did that do nothing." Adam had the screen of the admiral's view as the Ambassadors shields didn't even flinch at the barrage.

"What! No damage!" The admiral yelled as Adam, James and Angel started rolling in laughter. "Fire all weapons and take that thing down." Adam just piloted the Ambassador past them. Entering orbit without any issue hovering next to the empire's senate room.

Adam popped out his jacket collar as the two smiled. "Showtime." He walked out of the ship onto the senate building. Zeta started to record using his various cameras on the mech as Astrid linked them into the communication tower with the backdoor she made.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the senate with all of those in between!" Adam was hyped as the empire's anti personal shuttles couldn't' get close due to the Ambassador. "I come with a large offer that is near impossible to turn down." Adam knew they had no choice, both the rebellion and independents were driving into empire territory.

"We as the Astral Alliance issue a protection order on every planet you control. If you attack it, we go to war and take it back! All it costs is all the territory you claimed during the war!" Adam threw up his hands as the senate halted.

"Open the top hatch. I am going to agree with it." The golden lady agreed with his plan.

"But what of voting on it!" One of the men yelled at her among the senate.

"There won't be an empire to care for if we don't!" She climbed the ladder and ran out to Adam as she sprinted over, she slipped. Her heel snapped as she started to slide down the dome. Angel lifted off as the golden lady slid from the building.

Angel swooped in and safely landed with her and the lady. "Thank you miss." Adam glided down with a jetpack as James rode down on Zeta. "We in the empire will vote on a formal agreement, but for now, I support you."

"You heard it here first. We are backing the empire so lay off our planets." Adam shouted as his new prototype fleets appeared in clusters of five. Even when outnumbered thirty to one they were able to push back the independents and the rebellion.

The lady became surrounded by guards as five more senate members brought the polling results. "Everyone agrees with having this man save our empire." The man handed the paper to Adam as he folded it neatly into a side pocket.

"We will call this the Angel Alliance, seeing how she is the one who saved one of your colleagues and is the first one of us to take action." Adam ruffled her hair a bit as she spiked the tip of it back up.

"Thank you, we will send you a finalized deal, thank you for keeping us safe in our weakened state. How could we ever repay you?" The man had the other work on drafting a treaty on a tablet.

"Stay out of my way while I bring the rest of the galaxy to peace." Adam looked at his wrist as the new line of ships excelled in their original aspect and their improvements. Both Kaenester and Valkira became irritated with their new opponent.

The man handed over the tablet as Angel, James and Adam all signed it as the major governing bodies of the alliance currently. After that they went back to the Red Merle to begin work on the next two alliances. To end this war.
