Adam stood on the bridge of the Ambassador as he looked out to the solar system cluttered with crime. "So much is happening here, one ship. Are we really enough to end this part of the cartel?" The headband wasn't making him think straight as he felt a little woozy from the travel.
"Isn't the goal just to kill the leader?" James popped up next to him and slapped the photo in front of him.
'I see what these headbands do now.' Adam looked at the image of the lady with all of her tentacles. "Yes, and Angel is the one who gets the killshot with Astral's rifle." Angel beamed with joy as they got broadsided by asteroids. The shields holding strong.
"Sir, the asteroid belt is attacking us." An officer shouted as Neigel stormed to the bridge.
"The source of the power is from this planet." Neigel fell forward with another asteroid hitting the shielding.
"Full speed ahead, we need to move!" Adam shouted as the Ambassador glided through space. "Keep running around the solar system. James, Angel. To the launchpad." Adam walked with his boots glowing a purple hue as James bounced around off the walls. Angel hovered in the air as the three had their moment.
"The window is five milliseconds of a correct launch between life and death." Neigel announced as Adam pressed the launch button. He knows his limits and the timing of it all as their cube launched in the direct middle of the window he had. "Or just ignore me."
Adam fell out of the box as it was still in beta testing, landing with a crash far from the landing zone they had planned as Adam became surrounded by the cartel members. "Put your hands up, we outnumber you five thousand to one!" One of them shouted.
"So I am surrounded by that many lost souls and assholes willing to die?" Adam grabbed his two pistols he had for himself as he looked around. Kayla fired up the battlenet as the Ambassador used its cameras to watch Adam's blind spots. He started to unload into the crowd around him as he fought his way to the twins who just landed.
Bullets flew everywhere as Adam was in the middle of the crossfire. Bombarding every one of the cartel members with rounds from his pistol. Each round locked onto the skull of a member before doming them, exploding their heads into red mist.
Angel and James crawled out of the cube as a building was in the distance unguarded. "Adam must be drawing all the attention away for now!" James extended his arm hoisting Angel out of the box as the two landed on the ground. It was slick and sandy as the two started to sink as did their cube.
"God dammit, can we get one good thing?" Angel grabbed both of James' hands and lifted him out of the sand. "Holy shit what are you so heavy." Her wings were beating audibly as James looked down.
"I need one of my hands please!" James shouted up as Angel pulled him upwards as James pulled his one arm away. Looking down at the tentacle holding onto his leg he slashed it with his claws as it reeled back down and away from him.
"This isn't normal or right at all." Angel hovered in place as James looked to the far away building as more tentacles came out and started to chase after Angel. She dropped James as he looked to the sand for any hard spots to dash around on as he looked at the pillars around him. Climbing around and dashing between them to save himself from the tentacle swarm.
Angel rolled around in the air and made sure to stay safe from the mass amount of tendrils chasing her. Evading in each and every direction there was another tentacle waiting for her at each turn. 'I can't get free despite my speed.' She twisted around and dove directly at the building before pulling up.
The tentacles launched at her tied themselves up on the pillars James was hopping about. The tentacles went after him and were slashed away by his claws. As much as they tried they couldn't get close to where he stood as the pillars started sinking. With one jump he closed the gap between him and the building.
Landing on the steps he smiled as the tentacles stopped attacking him. Angel swirled around in the air as the tentacles struck at her location before dive bombing and landing next to her brother before heading inside. Finally pulling up Astral's rifle as James took the lead and blitzed past her.
Adam was still having a blast. His armor was taking each caliber of round they threw at him. He walked through them as he didn't have to use any of his drawings as his pistols were able to handle everything they had.
A tank rolled in as Adam smiled. "A challenge?" Adam pulled out an item from his back as it rolled closer to him firing a tank round at him as it flew past him. "Whew, it works for every caliber of round." Adam threw a baseball at the tank as it exploded. "So those things work." Adam pressed a button as a metallic clink covered his backside.
"Oh shit the twins!" Adam took off and tripped over the tank's debris as he saw shuttles leaving the planet. Was the cartel bailing on their boss? No, they wanted to survive with the best one tactically.
Angel and James looked at the alien empress as she looked at the two. "Welcome to your new coronation as my strongest puppets." She extended her hand. The two looked at each other as Angel pulled the rifle up and fired. Sending the bullet straight through her skull as the slaves around the galaxy brainwashed by her became freed at one time.
Lots of them rebelled all at once, sending many of the slave mines and house slaves across the galaxy into chaos as they no longer had absolute control. The many planets that relied on them became overwhelmed and collapsed. The empire's factories came to a halt as the Independants had to reform several key things.
They tried to contact the cartel as Nightmare and Mavis as neither of them answered. They were clueless as the cartel was crumbling before their eyes, but who would do it? The rebels, nah, no reason to. Adam was the only option they had in their minds. They reached out to an old enemy.
Adam finally reached the building as he was panting. James and Angel were tossing a ball back and forth in boredom. "What took you so long?" James snickered as Adam clapped for the ball as Angel tossed it to him.
"I made a distraction!" Adam chucked the ball directly at James as the Ambassador entered the atmosphere behind them to bring them to the last fight. Once They boarded they met up with the Everlast in orbit of the last planet.
