Adventure of Astral Part 31: Returns

"Your waist piece, and your gauntlets."

"Call the meeting, tell them to bring the items and they will be greatly rewarded." Astral nodded as he then took a moment of pause. "Do they also have the same type of reactors as this one? I would love to study it more while they arrive." Drainell nodded as messengers were sent out on horses. "We will make the cubes in front of them. Exactly the same as the one you have, you may premake the stands if you like. I am to monitor the reactor."

Astral walked directly to the reactor as Drainell nodded and snapped his hands. "Listen up, we must be a gracious host to our dear friend here! He has treated us with nothing but respect, kindness and mercy. If he asks, answer." Drainell raised his fist in the air as the dwarves began to chant once again. Astral stood next to the reactor as he watched how it worked. He marveled it as it was just channeling the magical energy into normal kinetic energy. It was a very similar baseline like his solar reactors, which were just upscaled compared to this one to run only a small city.

Days would pass as he watched and understood the reactor and was able to test out its abilities while waiting for the other dwarves. It was able to defend from high level attacks of magic and counter with strong magical and elemental attacks back. Astral also sampled how it would affect their crops. They were able to have a harvest every week, with that came a booming soar of baked goods and fresh food for them all. Their livestock also applied to the cube as a calf could be born in a day and be ready to slaughter in two weeks. They would feast nightly on all sorts of foods and desserts. Astral enjoyed their company as his prize was awaiting him.

The other three dwarven kings all arrived at the same time as they looked at Astral confused. "This man cannot craft for he is no dwarf. Drainell, you trust an outsider to make us something powerful?"

"I trust you to see the proof of this die." Astral pointed to the small golden cube in the reactor. "It has made this city thrive to an empire like no other. It can outpace all other kingdoms when used correctly. I would like to see my armor pieces before you just assume that I will make you each one."

They turned inward to each other as they all muttered about for a moment. They looked back at Astral as they slowly nodded. The three of them snapped their hands as four dwarfs were carrying each gauntlet and his waist piece. Astral's suit fired to life as his gauntlets slammed back into place as his waistband wrapped around him. Startling the dwarfs that were carrying their goods.

Astral smiled as his suit vanished once again. "Very good. Drainell, are the forges hot, ready and prepped?" Drainell nodded as Astral walked to their forge. Ready to craft three cubes in return for three pieces of his armor. Astral smiled as his hands fired to life with the small protective light shielding as he infused the liquid gold with it once again. This time making eighty one blocks of gold nonstop as he watched the other dwarves watch his hard work.

After the blocks were formed they slid them into the cubes they needed to be, already having them raised from the ground for him as he took off his shirt and jacket, letting his necklace dangle from his neck as he started to overheat and work harder than before on the one cube as he began the process of working on all three at once.

His speed was immense as he watched the dwarves connect the cubes at their seams with the platinum trim. Astral smiled as each of the core gemstones was all he needed to focus on in the meantime. Having three giant gemstones of each as the dwarves crafted their imprint spot as Astral installed each one carefully. The other dwarven kings were in awe as Astral's craft was perfected. The cubes were finished as Astral shrunk all three down.

He held them in his hand as he enchanted all three of them at the same time. They were a little less powerful than the one he made by himself for the most part. He thought they would not notice the difference in power and nor did he care. He was done as he put his shirt and coat back on while not buttoning it back up right away. He tossed the dice in the air as everyone panicked that they would shatter the kingdom. Astral swiped them from midair and put a spell over them small little bubbles.

"Pop these with a needles for them to never leave their spots again, but for now. They are weightless." Astral tossed the three of them to the kings as they caught them and marveled at their lightness. Drainell handed each of them the dice stands as Astral's stomach roared at all of them. They all began to laugh as they prepared the final feast. Drainell and Astral stood behind the rest as he waited a moment.

"Where to next?" Drainell asked as he tapped his wrist gauntlet.

"I am thinking the elves, they have most of my remaining armor besides my helmet if I am correct. If my guess is correct. They have my thigh armor and my boots." Astral opened his hand as a hologram appeared of the map of the area. Small little dots appeared all around the kingdom as the largest one was where he stood.

"Nifty technology you have. Seems very useful." Drainell commented as Astral shrugged. "You can track your armor, what else can it do?"

"In the old days, it used to track armies and movements, tactics and allies. Now its just a glorified compass to guide me." Astral clicked it off as a horn bellowed in the distance. It was time to eat. Astral ran and sat down as he started to dig in and devoured everything in his path. The feast never ended until all but Astral were passed out from eating too much, or from drinking too much mead.

"Damn, that's some strong shit if it can get me a buzz." Astral looked at the mead as he scanned it with his gauntlet. It was one hundred and ninety two. "Damn, and we drank how much?" The gauntlet flashed up thirty as the number. "Ah, I miss those days long ago where not even a full bottle could get me blacked out. Never again." Astral stood up and stretched. Buttoning his shirt as he walked out of the kingdom to his next stop. The elves.
