Adventure of Astral Part 42: Breakthrough

The storm above their heads started to spark as it sensed the metal of Astral's weapons, it honed in on him as he dodged the first lightning bolt. He rolled backwards as he summoned a small steel ball from his hand, shot putting it into the center of the courtyard as a bolt of lightning struck it. His head twisted upward as he caught a large hail piece as they started to rain down around him. He threw the first one at Sapphire that he caught. Catching a second one he hurled it at Topaz as the ice made a mist in front of their barriers. Astral jumped above the clouds as it burned his skin to the touch as he went through the clouds.

'This is my storm, my life and one that you four cannot stop.' Astral extended his right hand as he slid through the storm cloud on the way back to the ground. Turning all of the hot pockets in the cloud into ice, as he landed on the ground. Snowflakes fell beside him as they glimmered around the five of them. "Their beauty is unmatched, even if you lived a million years you would never see two of the same." Astral cracked his neck and his knuckles. "You will never see a second of me for no matter how long you live."

"You are only a creation of an inferior God. We are the daughters of the gemstones and the gem king. You can threaten us but we can create an equal to you." Ruby sliced off one of her arms as she tossed it to the center. Her arm slowly growing back as the arm morphed into a knight of pure red armor.

"Even of you defeat us or our cores we will be back. The Gem King will have his vengeance for you killing his daughters." Diamond sliced off her arm as a knight in pure diamond was formed and stood in front of her.

Topaz and Sapphire didn't follow suit. They were trying to override the snowstorm from above and make it their own again. The diamond guard rushed at Astral as it hid a beam attack from Diamond behind it. Astral quickly drew Muramasa as he pushed the guard to the side. He flicked his right wrist into the beam attack as he sent it into the ground. The ruby knight charged at Astral as he grabbed it by the neck without worry. Throwing it into the other summoned guard.

"Nifty tricks that don't top my clones, but at some point, you four will run out of juice, I do not." Astral taunted them as the gem warriors summoned spears. Keeping range on him is the smart thing to do. They charged at him as they drug their spears across the ground. Gaining inertia and charging up static energy to use against Astral. They lifted their spears from the ground and thrusted forward at Astral. He blocked the ruby spear into the ground, sending the inferno he caused back at him. Blocking the diamond spear with Muramasa. Switching all his grip of the sword from his left to his right as he grabbed the charged knight and threw him into Diamond.

The knight smashed into Diamond as she reabsorbed him. Using the burst of energy to summon a static bolt at Astral. He blocked it into the ground with a hard light disc. Decapitating the ruby knight in the process. Astral leaped forward as he saw the snow turn to rain. He landed short of Ruby as he watched an electrical field storming down from the clouds as a natural barrier. 

Astral slid to a stop as he quick drew his magnum and fired three rounds directly into the electric wall as they were halted. He looked up and laugh. "All that time to take over the storm and yet I still hold the entire edge." Ice buddha statues were forming behind him. Tornados made from fire slowly grew from the ground as he heard the thunder rumbling from above.

"Come and stop me!" Sapphire shouted as she snickered behind the electrical field.

"Do you know the speed of electrical fields?" Astral replied. He lunged forward through the field with no issue as he stabbed Muramasa directly into her stomach. He pushed her off the blade as she stumbled backwards. "Titan was right to trust you two, the other two are too weak."

His mind flashed back to their fights there wasn't a strong counter to them, he was right for them to be the most powerful, but most that power came not from their abilities but with how they are used.

Topaz yelled in misery as she reached her hand out for Sapphire as she crawled to her side. Astral flicked his wrist as he severed her hand at the wrist. "Be reunited with her. Because I know there is more magic yet to be seen from you two." Astral grabbed her stump of a wrist as he threw her into Sapphire. The two of them rolled into a pile of hay as Astral turned back to the two remaining.

"You two haven't been very agile this fight, where was that spark of self preservation. Or are you saving it in case I summon something of my own?" Astral taunted them as he saw his miracle of a mech sparkle in the corner of his heads up display before he swiped it away with his eyes.

"We haven't been physically challenged in over a thousand years. We are very stiff still." Ruby fired back immediately as Astral scoffed.

"You should have utilized the twins while you could have." Astral closed the gap within the blink of their eyes as their stomachs were cut open. Blood slowly oozed from the cuts as the two of them sent him backwards with a repulse spell to deal with the icy buddha statues.

Astral flicked his body around and decapitated both statues, melting them with the tornado's for extra measure. He would not risk them coming back as he looked to the clouds. The storm still loomed and he was not powerful enough to get rid of it, just hijack it. 'How do I get past you without magic and make the environment back to a level field? I need her.'
