Adventure of Astral Part 51: Trickery

He sat on the throne alone and was able to be isolated into his own thoughts. "What caused him to turn so sour? Was he always like this? How did I not notice this?" Astral slumped down, he felt the defeat of this planet. "I cannot linger here much longer. Where is the next goal?" Astral looked to the stars as a green shimmer filled his eyes.

Astral outstretched his hand up to the sky. "The distance is greater than what even I would try. How would I make it there in decent time? While keeping them distracted." Astral stayed as still as a statue as the shadows moved around him. He waited for the moment to start as he was shocked by the next move.

Sora climbed out of the rubble he was sent through. He ran back to the stadium and stood in front of the crowd. "ALL OF YOU CALM DOWN!" They were piling over each other to go after Astral, he calmed the masses as they all snapped into obedience. "There is only a few of us capable of going head to head to Astral, less so for us to beat him. We will try but I hold no promises. We will kill him and end his tyranny."

The crowd roared with approval as Angel and James looked at each other in confusion, what possibly could be put into motion to end Astral of all things. Sora slowly walked up to the two of them as Tina stood in between the three. "We will join you on your quest to kill Astral." Tina turned her head behind to look at the twins, giving a soft wink as they gave light nods in agreement.

"Good, with you three on our side Astral will be on the back leg the entire time. He will have no breathing room while we work on finishing him off once and for all." Sora commanded for the masses as he stormed forward through the crowd. Sugar rubbed her eyes as she was still dazed and confused on what happened, rubbing her ears as the sonic boom hurt them.

Lilac and Sanguine walked alongside of Sora as Tina filled in behind him. She backpedaled as she created a magical barrier around the twins to have them discuss their plan of action, she would just do the bare minimum of attacking. "So, how much can we hurt Astral, we can assume he is in the throne room. So we just barge in and follow Sora until we close the gap?" Angel asked as James nodded.

"Well, if we need to kill Astral, realize the first step to that is wounding him and making him a scared dog. They will plan on hurting him before they go all out, you would do the same to a person like that." Sugar commented as both of them agreed. They now feared on what their plan was with Astral to put him in that state. They watched slowly as they watched Sanguine scale a building. They were approaching the wall as they all paused for a moment.

"I know this is Astral's wish and goal but are we sure about this?" Angel halted for a moment while they waited for the gate to drop. Sora stopped as he talked to the guards. "Astral can handle us all at the same time, right? Otherwise he wouldn't have made that choice in the first place?" James turned to face her as he rested his hand on her cheek.

"Angel, we may not have been able to see it, however; he did take out the entire force that was meant to eradicate us." James looked to the stars. "I have a strong feeling we are going to start playing a big game of cat and mouse with him." James smiled as he tapped Sugar's nose. "The game has just begun. Both sides will assimilate their pieces. Sora is making the first move, what a game to be a part of." Angel and Sugar were confused, James laughed. "Adam often broke down a lot of the smaller scale battles into an oversized chess match. I played copycat and worked on learning more than he thought, he could be proud, if only he could see us."

The other two stayed silent as James looked forward. Sora waved them to walk forward with him as they followed suit. They walked the castle halls as they all waited and wondered how Astral would react. Versus how defensive he may play. They knocked on the throne room doors. Astral opened them as he looked at the five of them, his black and gold suit shimmering in the sunlight.

"You can't be here to challenge me face to face. You have lost twice. And even with the help you have with you. I doubt how much you could actually do to me when I am focused. For now, you can go away I have more important things to worry about." Astral watched him closely as he displayed two digital hologram screens and was ready inventory reports for the station.

"You don't have the common decency to think I am a threat to you, I could end you in an instant, you are incompressible of the power I possess." Sora snarled at him. Hissing as he spoke. Astral rolled his eyes as he gave a small wave to the other five. Sugar, Angel and James returned it as Lilac looked at him in disgust. Tina stood still as she waited for the moment she was prepared to watch.

"No, if I was worried you would have been dead. Or my armor would have appeared, or my sword is being used, there is very little issue of a threat when the backer holds no reason." Astral smiled as he was watching a light glimmer far from the castle. 'There is no way, that can't be sniper glare, the only one capable of that is Sanguine. Oh.'

Sora extended is arm as he yelled. "MY WILL IS MY WORD AND I WILL KILL YOU BEFORE THIS IS OVER!" Nothing happened. Sora looked at his arm before he dropped it confused and surprised. He no longer had it? How, where could it have gone.

Astral stood up and began to laugh. "Your great plan was to come in here, yell and be demanding. Then when I take you as unserious as possible by saying something so stupid. Do what. Tickle me to death?" Astral stepped forward as he looked at the sniper glare. A beam of white light took off his right arm and shoulder as his suit appeared around him after the bullet made impact.
