Rough Ride

On the way to the Daunt Base, Owen advises Team B to review their plan in detail.

The main members of Team B include:

Owen Williams- Lost Haven Captain

Elliot Gray- Star Rank 4. 5'11. Average muscular physique. Light skin tone. Yellow eyes. Short white/ silver hair. Basic outfit: Black/white designer jacket, white t-shirt, black joggers, black fingerless gloves, and black and white running shoes with yellow accents.

Amina Crestmore- Star Rank 4-3. 5'4. Feminine physique. Deep/ Rich skin tone. Long blonde hair. Purple eyes. Basic outfit: purple and white shinsengumi haori jacket and skirt, knee-high white/purple socks, red/black shinsengumi geta sandals, and gold/black headpiece.

Nash Lawson- Star Rank 3-4. 5'6. Masculine physique. Light skin. Short dark green/ brown hair. Green eyes. Basic outfit: Wind/ green tenka outfit set.

Zeke- Star Rank 2-3. 6'1. Average muscular physique. Fair skin. Sharp red eyes. Black short hair. Basic outfit: Long black jacket/coat, red tank top, skinny black pants with a black belt, black boots with two red strips, black fingerless gloves, black painted nails, and a long necklace.

Elliot lays a map down and begins to discuss each member's role in the mission.

"Right, while Team A does their thing distracting the Daunts, we'll sneak in the back of the base here," he points to a spot on the map, "where Captain Owen and Zeke will take out the guards. Nash, you follow close but not too close behind them. Do not risk contact." He explains crucially, "You're our main healer, so we have to rely on you the most.

Captain Owen and Zeke are in charge of clearing a way for us to get in and to get out. You three will locate where the prisoners are being held and signal me."

Elliot turns to Amina. "Amina and I will be in charge of hacking the security system and unlocking the prison doors. Once unlocked, Nash, you, and the others go in and heal only the ones in critical health. We will all evacuate the same way we came in. Does everyone understand?"

"Sounds like a solid plan, nice work Elliot," Owen says proudly while driving. The other members nod their heads in agreement.

"Yeah. 'Nice work,'" Zeke says mockingly, "He's only 'good' because he has first-hand experience," he mutters under his breath, looking out the window.

"What was that?"

Elliot gets up and walks towards Zeke. "Wanna say that again?" he says, grabbing Zeke's seat and hovering over him with a glare. Zeke smirks and glares back at Elliot.

"I can say more about the Shadow Daunt-"

Owen cuts off Zeke. No words are used, only the feeling of pressure by Owens heka surrounding Elliot and Zeke. Everyone in the vehicle tenses up. Hairs standing and chills down the back are felt by the presence of Owens heka.

"Now, boys, no need to bring up the past. Let's focus on the mission." Owen smiles and pulls back his heka. Elliot pushes off Zeke's seat and walks back to his own.

"Sure, but how can I trust him to protect the prisoners if he couldn't save his own brother."

Zeke is triggered by Elliot's words and gets up with the intent to harm. His heka is on the verge of bursting out. Owen grabs Zeke's arm, preventing him from going to Elliot.

"Relax. You know he didn't mean it," he whispers so no one else can hear.

Zeke takes a deep breath and utters, "Just let me know when we're there," He sits back down and shuts his eyes for the rest of the ride.

On the other side is Team A driving to the frontlines of the Daunt base.

The main members of Team A include:

Cora- Star Rank 5. 6'0. Muscular physique. Very light skin tone. Light blue eyes. Short light blue hair. Basic outfit: Black/white tracksuit.

Dori- Star Rank 4. 5'9. Feminine muscular physique. Very light skin tone. Light blue eyes. Short light blue hair. Snow-designed short kimono set.

Kai Ryo- Star Rank 3-4. 5'11. Muscular physique. Light skin tone. Short brown hair. Blue eyes. Basic outfit: Black tank top, black/blue joggers with belt, royal blue long scarf, royal blue arm guards, and dark blue tenka shoes.

Nora Zeru- Star Rank 3-4. 5'5. Slim physique. Medium/ tan skin tone. Long dark blue hair in a ponytail. Doe brown eyes. Basic outfit: white/blue very crop tank top with a mini cape, long low wast blue shirt with white accents, knee-high white socks, blue mini-heeled shoes, blue painted nails, and gold bracelets on each wrist.

Cora is Team A's leader and the current driver. In the passenger seat is Cora's twin sister Dori. Dori is like a mother to Cora, always taking care of him. Nora and Kai are the troublemaker duo in the back of the vehicle.

"Alright, Team A, we're closing in. Does everyone remember the plan?" Cora asks. Team A yells with excitement, ready for the upcoming battle.

"Com'on, let me at 'em already!" Kai says with violent intentions.

"Kai, you remember what Captain Owen said? 'Don't rush in without knowing your opponent's strength.'" Nora mimics Owen, "We have to scope them out first."

"I don't need to know their strengths. I need to know their fears! That way, I can kill them in the worst ways possible," he chuckles like a madman. Nora laughs and encourages Kai to do his best.

"That sounds very unhealthy," Dori says concerningly about Kai.

"Damn right it does, but it'll help us with this mission," Cora responds.

"You're right about that. He'll take all the attention, as usual." Dori says, looking at the map Owen provided. "We should park at the cliff ahead and devise a strategy to get all the Daunt's attention at once."

Cora agrees and drives close to the edge of the cliff. Right under the cliff is the Daunt base. Kai begins to get impatient. He jumps from his seat.

"I can't hold back anymore!" Kai burst open the back doors of the vehicle.

"KAI, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" Cora shouts. Kai blacks out and ignores Cora.

"WE'RE HERE!!" He yells, jumping out of the vehicle. "WOOOAHHHH!!!"

"Well, we expected this, did we not?" Nora smiles innocently.

"On second thought, maybe we shouldn't have driven by the cliff." Dori laughs nervously.

"Captain Owen is going to kill me," Cora says, slapping his hand on his forehead. He parks the vehicle behind trees on the cliff. The sun sets, and the rest of Team A prepares for battle.

"Alright, Team A, let's go back up, our crazy-ass teammate," Cora says, gathering up the gear and officially beginning the mission.
