Kingford City

The city was very wide. It was surrounded by a circular wall as high as fifty meters. On top of each corner was a huge lion-head sculpture and white tower with magic runes. The defense towers were for magic shield. Between each circular corner was a huge silver gate. Many carriages, and beings, humans and nonhumans, were moving in and out of the six gates.

The city's name was Kingford, the capital of Baynard Kingdom.

In the north, there was a very tall mountain silhouette with a castle near its peak. The scuplture of the first king, founder of Baynard kingdom was standing on the castle's viewing platform. The landmark building was called Overseer Castle.

"A world nurtured by mana is really fascinating," thought Edgar as he looked at a giant flower. The flower was twenty meters wide. It looked like a lotus on top of a mountain.

He moved out of the castle with his personal guards and went to the north of the city where the business district was located. The whole road in the city was made up of stone.

"With the help of magicians and aura masters, building this huge city should not be too difficult," Edgar thought while he was looking at the road from the carriage.

"Magic is common here," thought Edgar with a smile. A man was juggling fireballs. Someone jumped from the second floor of a restaurant and rode a wind to swiftly land on the ground.

He kept smiling as he looked at the plaza and thought,"A fantasy world does not feel complete without them."

There were many beings in the plaza including demihumans. A woman with cat ears wearing armor was shopping with her teammates. They were mercenaries. A middle-aged man with rabbit ears was shaking the hand of a business owner after they reached an agreement.

Meanwhile, in the king's chamber, a man entered the room and gave a salute to the king.

"Your Majesty, the prince moved out of the castle. It seems he is going to the plaza," said the man named Scyte, chief of the kingdom's intelligence, the Shadow Department.

A look of sadness appeared on the king's face. His body looked frail."Do you think he will do something else there aside from going to that place where he frequently went?"

"Your Majesty, I think you already know the answer. At least he was able to endure it for a month."

King Axel sighed."Will I be able to change him before I leave? If he remains the same, what will happen to the royal family and the kingdom?"

Then his eyes turned shaper."I must at least remove the huge danger lurking in the kingdom."

Scyte turned silent for a moment, then an imperceptible smile appeared on his face.

Edgar's carriage stopped near a brothel. Many seductive women went out and welcomed him.

"Your highness, why are you only visiting now? We missed you a lot!"

"You highness, I kept thinking about you!"

The two most beautiful women held the arms of Edgar kept rubbing their big bust, while the other women kept saying tempting words.

"Hahahaha I missed you all too, but I am now the regent king, so I can't keep coming here everyday. I am patrolling the city because my father kept urging me to do it before." Edgar was dragged to the brothel and drank some wine. He made an excuse and quickly got out.

"T-Those women really know how to do their job," thought Edgar with a sweat on his face, then a smile appeared on his face."Words should spread that I am still a debauchery prince."

They moved to the west of the city. He stood on an arch bridge over a canal. The canal had blue water and stretched from south to north of the whole city.

There were small boats moving on the canal. A young man who looked like a noble had two beautiful ladies on his both sides while sitting on the boat. The man cast magic, then two water ribbons rose from the canal and moved around them causing the ladies to clap their hands and kiss his cheeks. The young man laughed. The boatman at the front of the boat shook his head. He seemed to know that it wasn't the first time the young man had done that trick.

The source of the water canal was a huge river three kilometers south of the city. There were smaller canals that originated from the main canal, providing adequate water to farmlands. There was wide farmland outside the city. They looked like vibrant green grass. Various villages and towns were near them.

Edgar looked at the canal while thinking. "The north of the kingdom is not lacking in water, but the south has problems with water. The branch of the river that flowed to the south of the kingdom became a lake, swamp, and marsh. The river could not go out to the sea in the south because it is blocked by mountain ranges. I don't know if it is good or bad that the kingdom will not be devastated by storms that came from the southeast because they are blocked by mountain ranges.

There won't be too much rainfall, but there won't be too much water, which is now lacking in the south. I should train magicians dedicated to agricultural production. The kingdom cannot take full advantage of the river because there is a lack of water network in the south. Many magicians refuse to work doing such menial jobs. I don't believe that I cannot make them willingly do their job with a high salary and benefits."

He went back to the carriage and ordered his guard to move to the training ground. The training ground of the army and royal guards was surrounded by a ten meter tall wall.

Edgar went down from the carriage and stared at the huge wall. He felt excited because within that wall, he would be learning and training in aura.
