DxD 0163: Young Devils Gather

"I never thought I would ever see the Four Great Satans gathered together like this. That's not even mentioning the other Ultimate-Class devils," Kiba commented as he glanced around the ballroom that was filled with the higher-ups of the Underworld.

"It's an awestriking sight, isn't it?" Xenovia, standing beside Irina spoke. The others also passed their own comments before Rias spoke up.

"Be careful not to offend anyone tonight, okay? That especially goes for you two, Xenovia and Aika. The people here are all extremely influential and offending them can be especially troublesome."

"I understand," Xenovia said flatly.

"Dammit …" Aika said under her breath. "Rias-senpai. Why are you the only one in a ball gown? We were all told to dress in our usual clothes. I guess Akeno-senpai as well — she's wearing a black yukata."

"Because I'm the only high-class devil of us, Aika, and Akeno is my Queen," Rias said. "Even as a high-class devil, I am only allowed attendance because of my brother and position as the Gremory clan heiress. Middle and Lower-Class devils all have extremely restricted entry quotas for this event."

"Oh, right. You guys still follow the class system that was abolished," Aika said. "Would I be put to the guillotine for a public execution if I spoke up in front of someone of a higher stature as well?"

"… Not particularly. No." Rias said, a little weirded out. "You belong to the peerage of Abaddon Bael. Even if you offend someone, they would only act while keeping him in mind. You have his brand, right? Same as Xenovia."

"I see," Aika said. "Politics is boring … I miss Master~" She sighed, squeezing her chest over her uniform. "I wanted to show him how I've grown by a full size … I'm a 36D now."

The devils around her ignored her oversharing words, "He is going to be here soon," Rias said, not sounding confident. "Probably. Sairaorg already came, but he doesn't know a thing about what Abaddon was up to over the past month."

"Don't worry so much, Buchou," Akeno said with a flat expression, her mind was somewhat preoccupied. She was the one who had it worst of all the women in the group. Unlike the others, her pleasure was completely blocked away from her for the past month, making it impossible for her to get any sort of satisfaction by herself.

They moved around for a while as Rias greeted the people she was familiar with, hers and Abaddon's servants all merely followed along with her, not straying away from her. Everyone's eyes were darting all around the ballroom, hoping that the man they were looking for would come quickly.

Eventually, another important person arrived at the gathering, the sister of Satan Leviathan, and the heir of the house of Sitri, Sona. She was dressed in a similarly beautiful ball gown as Rias that sported the signature blue color scheme of the house of Sitri while Tsubaki was wearing a slightly more modest dress. She had come with her full peerage as well and unlike the distracted atmosphere sported by Rias' group, Sona's group looked much more serious about the situation.

"Good evening, Rias," Sona greeted Rias with a brief hug, "Is he here yet?" She whispered in her ear as a very faint blush showed on her face. It was impossible to know whether it was her natural blush or some light makeup.

"Good evening to you too, Sona" Rias answered as the two separated. She shook her head subtly to give Sona an answer. The newcomer sighed.

"I had thought he would at least come by to meet once," Sona said.

"Yeah," Rias nodded. "I asked Sairaorg, but it seems that Abaddon has been completely missing for the past month. Even he hasn't met the guy yet."

"Wonder what he's doing …" Sona said with a hint of worry in her eyes.

"Welcome to the party, Sona-chan~" Serafall's playful voice distracted Rias and Sona from their conversation, making Sona jump lightly.

"O-Onee-sama …" She recoiled as Serafall's busty stature came into view. The Satan Leviathan bolted toward her younger sister and hugged her tightly before Sona was able to do anything.

"Greetings Serafall-sama," Rias, unfazed by the clingy sister's actions, greeted Serafall.

"Oh, Rias-chan!" Serafall, waved at Rias, "I see you brought everyone here. Though I don't see the Red Dragon Emperor."

"I haven't seen him either," Rias said. "But he should be arriving eventually."

As Serafall talked to Rias and Sona, Sirzechs and Azazel were having their own conversation.

"Michael-dono should be arriving soon, what about the other high-profile guest?" Sirzechs asked Azazel.

"Odin should be arriving soon, I sent Baraqiel to escort him. Many Norse Gods don't approve of the alliance that we are forming and may want to make things difficult."

"It seems that every group has those kinds of people … People who can't stand prosperity," Sirzechs said.

"It's not really a problem as long as the resistance stays inside the groups. It becomes a problem when an external collective like the Khaos Brigade starts to recruit those people …"

"How much longer do you think he's going to take to arrive?" Sona asked Rias as they made their way to the recreational room along with their respective groups.

"Knowing him, he's probably waiting for something to happen before he appears," Rias said.

"He does love being flashy with his presence," Sona said. "Everyone else is already here by now, right?"

"Yeah," Rias said. "I already met most of them. They all remind me of Abaddon. Even the women …"

Sona blinked a couple of times, "Missing him that bad?"

"No," Rias said. "They all have the same arrogant and quirky personalities that make the situations extremely volatile."

"That's what living in the Underworld all the time gets you. I am really glad that we've been staying in Kuoh for the past couple of years," Sona said. "It gives you a new perspective on things."

"Doesn't it," Rias said with a fond smile. "I bet that a fight's already started in there? At least two of the devils should be arguing or fighting by now. What do you say?"

"I'm not taking a losing —" Sona's words were never finished as the wall in front of them exploded, sending dust flying everywhere. Sona and Rias instinctively summoned protective magic circles before blowing away the dust.

"Do you want to die, Zephyrdor?" Rias heard Seekvaira's hardened voice.

Sona coughed lightly, waving her hand, "I don't think we need to bet on it anymore."

"What? All I offered was to help rid you of your status as the virgin bitch of the Agares family," The slightly dark-skinned man with spiky blue hair spoke with an aggressive expression.

"Are we fighting?" Xenovia asked, itching for a little fight.

"What's going on?" Asia asked no one in particular.

"It's no big deal when it comes to young devils, you can expect this sort of thing," Rias said, "Isn't that right, Sairaorg?"

"You're right about that," Abaddon's twin brother spoke. "They just don't know when to back down unless they get a little teaching." He cracked his knuckles while approaching the duo who were in a standoff. The tension between them was high enough for them to start blasting each other with full-powered blasts of magic.

Zephyrdor had already summoned a magic circle as Seekvaira was about to respond in likeness before Sairaorg spoke up. "Stop it you two," Sairaorg said. "Seekvaira, please don't demean yourself by interacting with the problem child of the Glasya-Labolas family."

"How've you been, Sairaorg?" Seekvaira turned to look at Sairaorg, shaking her head to allow her greenish-blonde hair to flow around. "I didn't see you when you arrived."

"I've been busy," He replied.

"Who the fuck do you think you are, huh, Bael trash?" Zephyrdor snapped. "You think I'm a problem child? I'll show you a problem child." He charged Sairaorg.

"You're embarrassing yourself," Sairaorg calmly grabbed his fist and punched him back, throwing him at the wall, cracking the surface despite its hardness.

"Hello, Seekvaira," Rias came to greet Abaddon's childhood friend.

"Gremory," The woman said with a smile. "Pleasure to meet you. You have been lovely lovely hosts for the evening."

"My apologies for not containing the situation earlier," Rias said.

"Don't worry about it," Seekvaira said. "This kind of conflict is natural in such a gathering. Has Abaddon not arrived yet?" She asked, looking around.

"Sairaorg?" Rias had the same question and turned to the only person who might know of Abaddon's current location.

"My apologies," The man showed a sad expression, "I don't know either. But he should be here soon, at least that's what I heard."

"You fuckers," Zephyrdor staggered up to his feet and looked at the people ignoring him with anger. He created two magic circles in his hands and was about to attack them but the spell, before even being cast, was sucked away into nothingness. At the same time, the man felt a heavy force on his back and his legs gave. He fell flat on the ground as a purple-eyed man stood on top of him.

"How about we go for another rating game before you talk to my people again, eh, Zephrador?" Abaddon said as the man groaned under his weight, unable to form words. "I didn't think so."

"How are all my favorite girls?" Abaddon's words didn't even finish before Akeno rushed him, wrapping her arms around him. Rias was quick to join in, followed by Sona and the rest of the women.
