It’s 2019. After twenty-two long years, the shadow hunter is back in the small town of Zafira again. The fear of shadow hunters will once again terrorize the town, but one thing is for sure - Shadow Hunter never killed anyone. Instead, his target is always single girls whose zodiac sign is Virgo. 
 
The shadow hunter's signature attack is an ice pick to the windpipe, leaving the girls bleeding but alive. Every victim has the same mark on their neck, a constant reminder of the shadow hunter’s presence.

Despite the shadow hunter's long absence, the people of Zafira haven't forgotten the terror he brought to their town in the past. Many fear that the return of the shadow hunter is a sign that the nightmare is starting again and that more young women will fall prey to his vicious attacks.

The Shadow Hunter: A Cursed Entity

Sitting on a couch inside one of the houses in Zafira, Dr. Malik is reading a book titled "Jins and Evils of the Middle East". He thinks he can find something about the shadow hunter in the book. Inside the book, he saw something called "the calling of Jin".


"If Shadow Hunter is a Jin. Why he did not possess anyone by now?" Dr. Makik asked himself, pacing back and forth in the room. "There must be something special about him.".


Dr. Malik called Amna Shahzad. The lady from which it all started.


Amna picked up the phone and heard Dr. Malik's voice on the other end. "Hello, Amna. It's Dr. Malik. I need to talk to you about something related to the shadow hunter."


Amna listened attentively. "Sure, doctor. What do you want to know?"


Dr. Malik explained that he had been researching Jins and found "the calling of Jin" in his book. He wondered why the shadow hunter had not possessed anyone yet, despite being a Jin.


Amna thought for a moment. "Maybe it's because the shadow hunter is too powerful for a human to handle. Maybe that's why he's just attacking people instead of possessing them.".


"Or there must be a source in the town which led him to get back in town after twenty-two years…. Do you have time to meet at my place?" Dr. Malik said, confused.


"Yeh! Sure. When?" She asked. Amna was more curious than the doctor to uncover the secret of the shadow hunter.


"Okay! I will be there on time." Amna puts down the phone on the side table.


Dr. Malik eagerly awaited Amna's arrival, constantly looking at his watch to see if it was already 3:00 PM. Amna arrived with Fatima and Maimoona, Dr. Malik greeted them with a smile and invited them inside.


As they sat down, Dr. Malik began to explain his theory about the shadow hunter's source of power. He believed that there must be something in the town that was allowing the shadow hunter to return after all these years. Now the confusion is that if there is a source of power, there must be someplace in the town for the origin of the power source.


Amna, Fatima, and Maimoona listened intently, nodding in agreement. She too had been thinking about this possibility and was glad someone else was taking it seriously.


"We should tell him about Waleed?" Maimoona said, eyeing Fatima and Amna.


"Waleed… Who?" Dr. Malik asked in curiosity.


"I stalked Waleed for days. He was doing something with the candles. A ritual-type thing. He put his sister in the middle of the circle of candles. Then I saw her sister chanting something… I think Waleed is behind this whole mess. But no one believes me." Fatima said, shivering. She showed Dr. Malik the mark on her neck.


"... An we can't confront him. He is dead now." Amna completed.


"Fire protection ritual." Dr. Malik whispered. He stood up and get the book that he was reading. He saw the girls on the page where there was a circle of fire. "I got this…".


"Shadow hunter is not just a jin. He is the hybrid of Jin and technology." Dr. Malik walked out of the house leaving the girls behind.


The girls followed him to the center of the town, an open area with an unusual manhole in the center of the empty ground. There was a tunnel going deep underground.


All of them went inside in curiosity to find what was on the other end.
