The Storm Is Not Over Yet

After what happened last night, the mayor was compelled to ask for another meeting with his board. When the priestess came to relay the actions requested by the Divine Bride, the old men were all in shock. They even felt weirded out by the situation.

One just had to hold out his hand and ask. “Wait, Priestess. Are you saying that… the bride is… I thought the bride escaped his marriage with Lasair. Why was he given this kind of privilege?”

“His Innocence didn’t escape their marriage. He escaped the cave,” the priestess said so plainly that all the old men around the oval table made the same sour face. “If the Great Lasair didn’t recognize him, then he would have died. It is only proper for me and for us to revere him as the Divine Bride.”

“But we never had a bride that lived past the wedding…” Another old man said so, but he only spoke from what he had read before.
