Layla Made a Deal

It’s just that the Sheriff’s Office exploded instead. The blast was even so great that the people were knocked down from the impact. Even the faraway Milan was toppled to the ground.

Screams echoed a lot louder as some people were injured from the blast. Milan rose from the ground and looked in the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. “Lasair, what is going on…? Is this really Bainadum’s doing now? How could he have gotten so strong now?”

“The Water-Fire Seal is virtually broken. There’s nothing more than just thin links that kept him from leaving the island.” There was a voice in the wind. “I’m sorry.”

Milan twitched as the deity apologized. He then looked at the space above him, seeing how Lasair moved toward the hospital. With a slow spin, Milan faced the hospital area and saw how Lasair held out those huge hands. In a second, the flames vanished as if oxygen was taken away from the hungry flames.
