Before he could crumple the page, he saw how another hand flattened its palm on it. When the surrounding people looked in the owner’s direction, Owen spoke, “Compare the two seals first before you destroy it, Milan. We might be able to use it to reinforce the Water-Fire Seal instead.”

“…oh, you’re right. I have both spells here…” Milan remembered he had the page about the seals somewhere in the papers. He just smiled at Mauve again. “I’ll make your one million worth it, Mama.”

“This must be Owen.” Mauve looked at Owen and gave him a once-over. Davion mentioned things about Milan having a different boyfriend over this place. Between the two men, Mauve could see how Owen fit Milan’s standards more. It was just that… this man was an islander.
