Traitors

When the time is fully come, Zyana the matron of St Mary's Orphanage returned to her rightful place after fully recovering from her ailment, she had suffered traumatic stroke and was kept away from the Orphanage. She didn't know who to trust again after the encounter she had before she broke down. She had earlier told her friends about how to breach St Mary's wall and that revelation nearly cost her life and the lives of people at St Mary. The assistant she kept to represent her is currently undergoing duress and post traumatic stress.

Zyana was one of the four legged demon from the ancient past, her tribe was the smallest and most inferior to every other ancient demon, hence why she is constantly abused and looked down on by every other higher ranked demons and figures. Zyana has tried to break out of the demonic ties but she is constantly afraid of been labelled a traitor. She could only hope that one day, someone of similar view would come out to merge forces with her in order to break lose of every ties.

On the other hand, Lucy wants to break free from the supremacy of other demons, she wants to become someone of highest authority or form her own lineage of demons with soldiers all around her. She has been living for over 3 centuries, performing alchemy of souls and shifting to different hosts per time. She was scared of approaching anyone because she was unsure of their loyalty to the demonic clan.

From the Commandment legion, the demon of seduction, the demon of death and the demon of lie share the same opinion. The nature of these demons is that as much as their general goal is to kill and destroy, they still disagree on every other thing. That's why when they possesses a soul, the soul automatically runs mad, they would disagree and keep fighting with each other until the possessed soul dies then they start looking for new host to take over. One day, the demon of seduction made a statement about forming new alliance and not necessarily submitting to anyone, then he observed that death and lie shared similar view and they started looking for ways forward, because of their conversation, they aligned even more and even better as friends not competitors.

Lucy had gone back to school after a week of mourning by the family of James about their second son that died of poisoning, the doctors could not determine where that kind of poison came from because the effect was rapid and extremely dangerous, the lungs of the deceased son bursted out and decayed within 30 minutes of injection causing inflammation all round his system. The poison is Lucy's special concoction from the Arabian poisonous venom. She had travelled at night for a task when she met the lovely venom which she now call pet, the venom charged towards her but she gently cuddled it and possessed it, that's how she could control it. Lucy got to school and pretended as though she was unaware of the two bully gang members that died, she strolled into her class and opened one of her best novels called '' The Haunting Of Hill House'' by Shirley Jackson, originally written in 1959. While she was flipping through the pages, someone tapped her and said " excuse me, Can I sit with you?", It was strange because no one has ever tried to sit beside her in a very long time, so she allowed the boy to sit beside her. He has the fanciest of smile, a calm and pure heart, no intentions to harm, just been friendly. ' My name is Jude, can you teach me how to ....' Lucy got caught up by his charming smile and missed out on what he was trying to say but she agreed to them all without hearing his requests. ' So when can we start?' he asked, and Lucy suggested today not knowing what exactly they intend doing or what she would be teaching but they agreed to meet after classes for the agreed lectures. Nothing has tickled Lucy's fantasies in a very long time.

Zyana the Matron of St Mary's orphanage has a culture of always checking up on the children he gives out for adoption at least for the first 6 months, so she decided to check up on Lucy that day. She got some clothing, fruits and some giftings to present to Lucy, she set out and got to the popular J's family for the visitation.

She got to the house and met the remaining members of the the family, they got talking until Lucy came back from school. Zyana's eye caught up with Lucy's eye and instantly they knew that they could recognize each other from same clan. Zyana was properly welcome and entertained properly and when she was about leaving, Lucy had to see her off. They started talking about the demon clans, their challenges and victory and suddenly in the process, they discovered their objectives were aligned for the first time, and they agreed to keep in touch and discuss further on how to break out. That same day, Zyana had a very long thought about how she wants to handle her life going forward, she imagined what she could become with her freedom, hanging around humans for long has definitely influenced her thoughts and decisions about life, the shackles of breakthrough and the loneliness that exist without them. nothing really flatters a demon except their perceptions and loyalty is been taken out of the equation, for Lucy and Zyana they could start a journey of means to an end but the best part is that they would be together for a long time. Zyana was obviously amazed at her allegiance with Lucy, she was looking at the grand picture of event but not the challenges that could come from within. Zyana is quite a visionary, once her eye is set, its towards a flint.
