Recovery

The escape of the Lucy, Death, Seduction, Zyana and their newest acquaintance Shiva really vexed the master, he must ensure they are not given a breathing space before they would end up using the elements to break loose from him forever and as such, he deployed hundreds of demons around the community to be on a look out for them. On the other hands, Lucy and the other traitors had successfully hidden in a small apartment outside town, they found the apartment locked and dusty but it has lots of provision that could go round for months, they concluded that either the owner of the house is dead or the owner visits once in a very long time. They had planned going to the James house but Lucy advised them against it because she believed that Lie demon must have taken the clan to that house since he betrayed them. Just as she mentioned that it was a bad idea to visit the place, she remembered James and Jenny plus the last son remaining, she felt a certain level of numbness because she was not sure if they left the house before Lie and other clan demons attacked it, she felt like calling but she left her phone too in the house before they left for their dangerous quest at the St Mary's Orphanage.

The next quest they must conquer is for Zyana and Lucy to get their hidden Element while Death and Seduction gets the one they have in their possession, but leaving the haven would be difficult and catastrophic knowing fully that the clan would be looking all over the place for them. Remember that Lucy has the disappearing spirit but that functions and scares only humans, for the demons who are well groomed about her power, they will easily catch up with her. So they were left in a place of Dilemma, they need to get the remaining elements in one place so as to effectively use it for their freedom and at same time they are scared of been caught. They resorted to using Shiva's Web power and Zyana's multiply power which would make one appear in 12 different places at same time while the main host maintains a single direction to the path she is headed. They decided to go first to Death's element location which is just by the river side of their former house, on their way to the venue, Zyana enchanted her multiplicity power and she appeared in different places around the town and it made it hard for the demons to really trace which one she was. They would get information that she was at the west of the Ariko and when they pursue her and catch up with her, they would notice that she was just a decoy. While they were busy pursuing different decoys, Shiva used her web power to cover the real Zyana and the rest of the clan until they got to the venue where Death had hidden the element. They took their time to dig up the place he buried it and slowly left the scene, on the other hand, Death has deceived Lie about the location which made Lie to start digging up a grave in an entirely different location but could not find it. The demon Lie wanted the whole element for himself that is why he betrayed his friends in the first place so as to gain the trust of the clan while he secretly scavenge for the hidden elements and walk out freely alone.

The last element was hidden at the backyard of James former house, they were aware of how dangerous that mission would be knowing fully that Lie must have gone to the house, but they were quite determined about their freedom, besides the decoy and protection they had would fend off the demons temporally until they fully understand that it was just a distraction while they pursue their main agenda. When they got to the house, Lucy observed that James and Jenny had gone, she was quite relieved that Lie and the clan could not get to them, she went for her phone but discovered it was not in the position she left it so she suspected that Jenny and James must have carried it when they were running away for their lives.

Zyana and Lucy went to the stream beside the house and counted seventeen trees then counted twelve heaps of sand before turning left to the marked location of the item but it got pretty tricky because the mark they made seemed to have washed off as the rain dropped rapidly for few days. They started checking every heap of sand because they buried it under a heap and as such requires close attention, at some point in their quest to retrieve the item, the others that were manning the entrances had to join in searching for the element which seemed hidden in perfect position yet cannot be found by the people that hid it. After a long search, Lucy found the washed part of a heap and quickly recognized that it was same place, they quickly dug it up and saw the shinny element perfectly wrapped just the way they had kept it, they retrieved it and ran back to the road for them to set out and start preparations for rituals of their freedom because what they seek for is finally come.

There is a scent that freedom brings, ever wondered why people love raining season? some because of the rain, some because of the scent it comes with. To Zyana, Lie, Seduction, Lucy and Shiva it was the total scent of the freedom. This could be seen from their expressions, the excitement and sudden change in behaviour. They knew that they can do many things after their freedom, they also know that they can free many other people from the slave hand of the clan and the master, so they ultimately marched home in all excitement
