How Is That Possible

Zions' P.O.V.

As we discuss the idea of my cousin Eithan becoming the new Alpha of the Blue River Pack and Mias' transfer to be with her mate Nick, Orian links me to let us know that they are all packed. I tell him we will meet them at the front entrance, then I link Stephanie, asking her if they are almost here, and she says they will be back in less than ten minutes. When I tell Rain, she nods and stands up, but her face goes pale as he body goes limp, and she begins to fall to the ground. I catch her quickly before she can hit the ground, holding her close to me while Sam, Christan, and Mathew jump to their feet quickly.

"Are you okay, my love?" I ask her, and I can't tell if she is shaking or if I'm shaking since my nerves are sky-high at the moment.

"I'm okay. I just got a little dizzy." She says, but I can tell she's worried as well.

"Maybe we should go see Doctor Jameson," I suggest.

"I'm okay." She says as she shakes her head.

"Please, my love. To make sure everything is fine with you and the pups. He said if something like this happens, we should call him." I say, trying to convince her.

"Okay, but after Jess and Orian leave. I don't want Jess refusing to go because of me. And no one says anything to her about this." She says while looking at everyone after a moment. We all nod, understanding that she has just given us an order. I don't feel comfortable keeping this from Jessica and Orian, but I also understand that if they find out about it, neither of them will want to leave her side, and this mission is important to our people.

"Only if you promise to see the doctor," I tell her.

"You can link Doctor Jameson to let him know we'll be there after they leave." She says as she nods, and I'm thankful she isn't being hard-headed.

"Thank you, my Queen," I say as I hold her close.

"You're pregnant with twins?" Christian asks, and she nods.

"Yes. We found out yesterday." She answers him.

"Congratulations to both of you." He says with a smile.

"Thank you," I say. "We should probably head to the front."

They nod, and I wrap my arm around Rain's waist, helping her keep her balance as we make our way to the front entrance to meet everyone. I also link Mia to let her know it's time for Nick to leave. She seems sad but understands, saying that they are on their way. When we arrive at the entrance, Rain seems to be feeling better and is no longer pale as she smiles at Jessica.

"Are you sure you have everything you need?" Rain asks her.

"Positive," Jessica answers her as they hug. Odett and Stephanie arrive at the same time as Nick and Mia, and I notice Mia has marked Nick. I smile and let out a light laugh making them both blush.

"Where are you going, Aunt Jessie?" Odett asks.

"We have to go on a little trip, but we'll be back soon." She tells her as she picks Odett up, and she nods. "I need you to make sure you help your daddy take good care of your mommy for me, okay?"

"Of course! Mommie is safe with me, Daddy, and Sam here to protect her." She says with a huge smile and bright eyes.

"That's my girl!" Jessica says, making Odett giggle.

"Be careful, and make sure you call me when you arrive." Rain says, and Jessica nods.

"Of course, sis." She says. "Please take it easy and don't stress. We'll be fine."

"I know. I wish I could go with you." She says sadly.

"I know you do, but Odett and these pups need you more right now," Jess tells her, and Rain nods in agreement.

"Okay, make sure to check in and keep your eyes open. The pack is only a two-hour drive, but you never know what could happen." I say as I look at Orian.

"Yes, my King." He replies.

"Safe travels." Rain says as Orian, Jessica, and a few warriors pile into Orians black SUV and wait for Christian and Nick to pull out of the garage before they drive away.

"Stephanie, would you mind watching Odett for about an hour while we talk to Mia?" I ask her. There's no need to get everyone worried about Rain or the pups until we know what's going on.

"Of course, my King." She says with a bow. "We'll be in your suite."

"Thank you, Stephanie." Rain says with a smile. Once they walk into the castle, I turn to Mia, who looks extremely nervous. "There's no need to be worried, Mia."

"Would you mind riding with us to the hospital? The Queen and I have something we would like to talk to you about, but we have an appointment." I say as my Jeep pulls up, and Evan climbs out, handing me the keys. She nods and climbs into the back seat. "Thank you, Evan."

"Your welcome, my King." He says with a smile as I help Rain climb into the passenger seat before walking around and getting in the driver's seat.

After a few minutes, we arrive at the hospital, and we're greeted by the same nurse as yesterday as she leads us to the VIP suite. She tells us that the doctor will be in soon, and we thank her before she walks out. We then turn our attention back to Mia.

"How can I help you, my King?" She asks.

"We know you and Nick are mates and have already marked each other. We would like to ask if you are okay with moving to his pack. We know Annie is here. But we want to know how you feel about it since it is your choice." I say, making her smile from ear to ear.

"I would love to. I know you promoted me and Annie, but I never thought I would find my second chance mate after her father died in the attack on your parents." She says.

"We understand. If that is your choice, we will fill out the paperwork for your transfer and take care of everything." I say, making her giggle as she continuously thanks us. Doctor Jameson knocks on the door, and Mia quickly opens it for him.

"I'll wait out in the hall." She says as she bows while still smiling.

"Thank you, Mia." Rain says. Mia nods and closes the door behind her.

"So, what brings you in today, my Queen?" He asks her.

"I'm worried about Dosha. She's been extremely sleepy and not as talkative as she has been." She tells him, and I stare at her.

"And??" I say.

"And I have been getting dizzy and fuzzy-headed and almost passed out earlier." She says while staring at the floor.

"I understand. Let's lay you back and check on the pups to make sure everything is okay." He says, and I help her lay back on the bed, pulling her shirt up so he can get to her belly. He squeezes out some gel onto her belly and places the paddle of the sonogram machine in the gel, rubbing it around till he gets a clear image of the pups.

"Everything seems to be in order, but the pups are growing faster than I had expected." He says, and we look at him in confusion.

"How is that possible?" She asks him.

"I'm not sure, but since you are a hybrid of Witch royalty and Alpha blood and the father is Werewolf royalty, it is a possibility that they will grow even faster than a normal Werewolf Alpha. Since this is the first Hybrid pregnancy, everything is unknown." He says as he cleans up the gel from her belly. "That could explain why you are getting dizzy and fuzzy-headed and could also be why your wolf has been so tired. I will prescribe you some extra prenatal vitamins to help you gain back some of the nutrients the pups are taking so they can grow faster. In addition, you should eat more protein-enriched foods to help balance everything out."

"Thank you, Doctor," I say, and he nods.

"You are welcome, my King. I'll print off the new sonogram pictures for you and be right back." He says before walking out of the room. I feel better knowing it's nothing bad, but I'm worried that she won't be able to handle the pregnancy.

"Everything is going to be okay." She tells me, and I nod as I pull her close, not wanting to let go.

"I know, my love. But I can't help but worry." I say, and she wraps her arms around my waist. "I don't know what I would do if I lost you."

"You won't lose me, I promise." She says as she pulls away and looks me in the eyes.
