"So he's very important to you..." Variant said to his self. He looked at the tiny device he used to talk to his original self.
"Dreams are indeed a complex addition in life." He said as he stared at the device. He then dropped it on the ground, and immediately stepped on it. It shattered into a bunch of pieces causing it to break.
"How was your conversation with --Yourself--?" A girl named Akira asked Variant while sitting on a chair with her legs crossed.
Variant looked at Akira with a surprised expression. "Since when did you arrive?" He asked Akira.
"Mou left early, so yeah..." Akira responded to Variant's question. "Tch, as expected... Anyways, the conversation with my original self went great. I can't believe that I got nervous considering that I'm an A.I. " Variant answered Akira's question from earlier.
He laid down on his bed after saying those. Akira's mood changed when he felt a glimpse of sadness in Variant's words. She stood up from the chair, and sat next to Variant.
"You know what's next, right?" She said in a sad tone. "I know... But as long as I could fulfill the wish of my original self, then it's all perfectly fine. Besides, I'm only an A.I. created to mimic Aldrich's trait. It's not like somebody will cry even if I disappear." Variant replied with a tone that Akira will never be able to determine wether he's emphasizing that he's sad or not.
Akira rised up, and stood in front of Variant. "Listen here moron, promise me that you'll never let him delete you." Her face suddenly turned red as she was saying those to Variant.
Variant smiled with his eyes closed, and replied with, "Yes ma'am! Promise!"
Akira smiled upon hearing Variant's answer. She logged off from the simulation, and she went back to her original body that was inside her room. She removed the device in her head and placed it on a table. She sat on the corner of her bed and grabbed a pillow.
"Idiot! There is someone who'll cry for you!" She said inside her mind. Her face turned red, but she kept on resisting it.
------------------
Another day, another problem. Earlier this morning, when I was in the cafeteria. A beautiful girl approached me and asked me to go to the Literature club room.
Today's morning class was great. No scary things happened and no anomalies occurred. After eating my lunch, I headed to the Literature club.
I arrived at the doorsteps, and I slowly opened the door. Upon entering, I saw the beautiful girl who approached me earlier.
Violet eyes, Black hair, it has an average size but I don't want to mention it, she's quite tall for a girl, and she's also wearing our school uniform, that's the girl. She glared at me, and asked me to sit down on the visitor's table.
Her voice sounds like an angel, and it really suits her appearance. Although, her facial expression is really something... She looks very serious.
I sat on the table where she wanted me to sit. She then followed up, and sat on the other side of the table. She took the chair underneath and sat on it, and then she said, "I have something to tell you."
I remained silent after hearing her say those words. She gave me a murderous glare, and it really scares me.
She then took out a piece of paper out of her bag and handed it to me. "Can I first ask about who you are?" I asked. She deeply exhaled and then she answered my question, "I'm Akira Erany, I'm 16 years old and I'm the president of the Literature club. I'm a graduat--- ne-nevermind."
"Aldrich's boss?!" I screamed inside of mind. "I'm Ascrid Avarisk, I'm also 16. You could call me Creed if you want." I introduced myself to her.
She nodded after hearing my introduction. I turned back my attention to the paper she handed me earlier.
A drawing of a demon holding a cursor is illustrated inside the paper. I was confused, but Akira noticed that I didn't quite understand what she's trying to point out, that's why she explained it to me.
"That's Mouharo, a demon that possess the power to control technology. He uses his power, which is technically technology, to ruin ones life. He destroys the life of the person he hates. In able to ruin it, he uses a bunch of fake news and illusions to slowly destroy that person's mind, causing them to break down. This occurrences are caused by Mouharo, if the people surrounding you at the moment of an illusion keeps saying --System error--." She stated in a cold manner.
"Hmmm... System error..." I whispered inside of my mind. "So I'm here because I'm Mouharo's target?" I asked Akira. After hearing what I was asking, she nodded her head as if she already got the answer she needed.
She was about to say something, but someone unexpected arrived. "Variant?! Why are you here so early?" Akira exclaimed upon seeing Aldrich walk in.
"Variant?!" I asked out of confusion. I heard Aldrich say, "Shhhh..." to Akira, but I ignored it.
Aldrich then clinged to my shoulder, and said, "It's how we call each other inside the Literature club."
"Ohhh..." That's how I responded to Aldrich's explanation. "So you have a girlfriend?" I asked him. He sighed, and said, "I like her, but I have a different playstyle."
I saw Akira blush, but I ignored it. "Oi, so have you told him already?" Aldrich asked Akira. Akira nodded saying yes and I nodded as well to support her answer.
I'm not sure what's between this two, but I know that there's something hidden about there relationship. Aldrich gently sat next to Akira's chair and took out a pen and a piece of paper from his pocket.
He wrote something in it, and handed it to me.
I cleared my throat and started reading it out loud, "Akira and I will be willing to help you with that demon called Mouharo, if you join our club."
I had two thoughts inside my mind,
"Wow, this hand writing is really something I should be envious on"
And,
"Poetry club isn't that active anymore, so I might as well join them since they're the ones who approached me."
I stared at Aldrich, and gave him a glare saying, "Yeah sure." His smile surpassed the cloud after knowing that I agreed.
Though, I asked him something before I left the room, "How did you guys know about what happened the other day?"
"I felt his presence lurking around you, so that's why we took a gamble." Akira answered my question.
"What gamble?" I added.
"The gamble about wether you're experiencing Mouharo's curse or not, right --Series--" Aldrich backed up Akira.
They both smiled after seeing my satisfied reaction.
Before I left the room, Aldrich said something, "Welcome to the Literature club, --Version--."
I smiled at him and left the room. New club, new problem. I guess Aldrich, err--- I mean Variant is literally making his move.
