When the sun rises a beautiful maid knocked on the door of an important person's office. I say to come in because I have been working all night. I forgot that around this time things get busy. So busy I need Rose's help. Except I had a gut feeling. My son Sephker must be in trouble. So I told Rose to spy on my son to keep him safe. The workload that would be put off to Rose is now being done by me.
She entered the room gracefully and lifted her skirt to do a bow. Most men would be happy to receive such a great hello from a fine lady. Except my heart was already given to a girl who died. I am also too tired to give a reaction.
"Sir, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I have to say it and let you know!" Rose Lily said while putting her head down as an apology.
"It's fine let me hear it," I said refusing to look up, I have to do paperwork. If it is so important she should just say it.
"Your son Sephker is very intimate with a foreign cultivator." When Lily ended her sentence she tensed up. She was afraid of the wrath that might be upon her. I couldn't get angry at her. What I am angry about is a memory that just filled my mind. A memory I forgot. A memory of my dead wife Leah Zasikel.
"Our son who will be birthed. I have a feeling. Do you want to hear the instincts of a mother?" Leah a normal stature girl said sitting on a big bed.
"I will listen to anything or everything you have to say honey," I said with a big smile.
"Aha! Our son is going to marry a foreigner. A foreign cultivator at that!" Leah said laughing and giving a big smile.
I recoiled from hearing such words. This world is changing and people are finding love all over the world. The persons of influence shouldn't indulge in such activities. It is bad enough the oldest son is dating a foreigner. That person has bad rumors circulating around them. That fool of a son will marry that deceiving lady.
"I refuse to let all my sons marry or even get close to foreigners! I won't let that kid get near a foreign girl!" I said shouting in anger. We must keep our bloodline pure! This gave Leah a good laugh she hadn't done in a while.
"There, there. Our son will, Sephker will be a real chick magnet." She said patting my shoulder and giving a big thumbs up. Sephker? Who is that?
"Who is Sephker?" I said worryingly. I hope my wife isn't thinking about someone else.
"Pfft, didn't you hear me? That is the name of our new son!" She said. I am starting to come back to reality and remember that even though the memory was super surreal. I am currently going through a mountain of paperwork.
"Damn it! Leah! You cursed our son's blood!" I said shouting at the top of my lungs until I fell into a deep slumber.
