Chapter 49: Traps And Pitfalls

Ugh, what would a leader do? We still have some light let's see what a leader would do in this situation.

A leader must take charge of conversations. One that benefits him or her. They need to lay traps in conversation and let the people they are trying to lead to their own failure. Once, they learn from their mistakes they can improve.

Not sure how letting people fall into traps allows them to grow but alright. I will people fall into my traps! I close the book and started the conversation.

"What is so good about me anyways? Don't you know until recently, I was known as the dumb no skilled goblin slayer? Why marry someone like me?" I asked to the table.

"Wait, that is unfair! You can't ask us a question like that out of the blue!" Luna said with a bright red face. First trap set! In love and war, there are no such things as unfairness.

"Is it really an unfair question? If I was the one asking to marry I am sure a girl would ask a question that is similar." I said bluntly.

"Well, that is true girls would ease into that question." Rita gave her opinion.

"You say that, but we could test that out. I am sure girls would ask that question once they get proposed to." I said opening my hand a little and pointing at the middle of the table.

We have two girls that we could test my theory on. The other friends in the friend group. Fu Xien and Kul. I bet if I ask for their hand in marriage they will ask immediately. They will ask why I love them.

"You are going to ask Kul to get married for a test? That is cruel Sephker." Mariella said. I fell into my own trap. She knew what I meant and she interpreted it in a negative way. I need to recover.

"I was merely bringing up an Idea. I wouldn't act on all my ideas. If I did I would be dead. If anyone acted on all their ideas they would be dead." I said nervously trying to recover from my own pitfall.

"Yeah, don't mess with a maiden's heart!" Rita said.

This is what the book calls, Tag Teaming. It is when you the leader fail at something. Then everyone else following you try to take a jab at you. To get a better foothold and then lead you into their own trap.

"How about we ask our own question then? Why not marry us? It would be more beneficial to you." Luna said.

Her augment is sound. I could live a life comfortably. Especially with two girls' income. And with intimacy, my Sin Points can rack up. The biggest part would be how I feel.

"You shouldn't answer a question with a question. It is rude." I said bluntly. Before anyone could say anything I spoke up again.

"I will answer but you must answer my question right after. If you don't I will leave the table, pay for my meal and go my merry way." I said.

"Now who is the rude one? Making demands like that is considered rude." Mariella said devilishly. It is hard to tell with that girl. She can be an angel and a devil at times.

"Well, if I can't get my answers why would I be interested in a further beating? We can do this like academics or you could treat me like a prisoner. The choice is yours." I said looking at Mariella.

"Do you feel like a prisoner?" Luna said with a worried look in her eyes.

Ugh, I am failing to lead the conversation. Luna is also laying down the hard questions too. I don't feel like a prisoner in this situation. I do feel like a prisoner of my skills. I have to complete the quests or I will get punished.

The system of lust is also making me do things with no love involved. Well, yeah the girls like Kul and Fu Xien I do with love. It is just that this lust system wants me to get stronger by you know, fulfilling lustful desires.
