Chapter 3: A Weird Weapon

When we were able to catch up Yogen was attacking some bandits. This man or monster, I guess, was slaying bandits left and right. I thought he was supposed to be an apprentice of some type. Yet, he is slaughtering people with ease.

A bandit was able to sneak up behind him and cut him on his back. He recoiled and swiped his sword into the bandit's chest. The bandit was not a complete human anymore. The upper right shoulder and chest were obliterated.

He looks hurt do I have some kind of healing card? Nope, I could join the fight since he is struggling. I kind of don't want to. This weapon is odd. It radiates an aura. An aura that is not evil or good. A neutral aura and I don't like that. If it was good or evil I would have used it right away.

I would still use it even if it has an evil aura since I would know what I am getting myself into. This neutral aura is making me hesitant. It is an item card. A card that would allow me to equip a weapon. The weapon looks normal. Even the name looks normal.

It is called The Blade of Cultivators. An item card with an attack power of 10,000. With a critical of 1. It has an odd skill. Every time I would harm someone. It would take away a skill. Meaning every time I kill someone with this blade. They would only lose one skill. They would not die.

This is a problem in itself. Why is it that it only takes a skill? I like the idea of killing the foe, regardless of whether it is a demonic beast or a human. For now, I will equip it. I will also summon another monster to help the young warrior.

The card I summoned was another warrior. He looked wise and old. He also had powerful stats. The monster's name is the Old Master of the Katana, Higuri. He has an ability that gives people . That status effect makes movement speed 10 percent slower.

It sucks because I lose a skill, but he has a lot of defense and attack. I need someone who can attack and deal damage. So getting rid of a skill I haven't used a lot will be a small upgrade. I then equipped my item card. I am also ready for battle.

It didn't take long for him to realize that people were fighting a fellow monster. So he immediately took action and helped out with the fighting. After the battle was over, there was not much left, of the bandits that is.

I am confused about this whole situation. What were the bandits thinking? If they were going to fight against a nation's main city. Why attack with such force? From what I have seen they have the numbers going for them. If you didn't count for the adventures. I am sure I am not the only one dealing with these guys. Why now bastards? I was having fun with Shiyoki.

Now that I think about it. Could the bandits be hired by Tien? It is a possibility. If the bastard would use kids as objects. I am sure he would use bandits as distractions.
