Chapter 42: Mission To Kill Evil (3)

I have killed only 8 goblins so far, but I need to ask the local farmers if I can camp on their land. I will also ask farmers for their spare food or if I am allowed to take what I need from the land. I would instead not use sin points on food. I can, but I don't want to. A single piece of bread is not a problem, being 10,000 sin points. The problem is when you get dinners. I can get a nice wyvern steak for only 1 million points. Yeah, the cost is only one million, and I can get a single skill for that many points.

Who am I kidding? I should not burden the farmers. They are low-class people who aren't treated well. I doubt I will have any chance of getting extra food. I bet it is hard for them to get a full stomach. I would be lucky if they would allow me to sleep on their land.

"It's time to set up camp. We will ask the farmers if we are allowed to sleep on their land." I said to the group of monsters. Rust shook his head to indicate he understood the orders. Layla sighed in disappointment. Jael closed her eyes and gave me a bright smile. We left the woods and went to the closest house we could find.

I knocked on the front door but heard no response. I went to look for the next house, but there was no reply. Then I went to the next house and no avail. I am going to camp inside a shed again. If anyone wonders what we are doing, they could ask us what we are doing. Once they find out we are from the Guild of Adventurers. They will be happy or at least a little less disturbed. I opened the shed and got ready to set up camp.

For a camp, you need a fireplace, a place to sleep, and shelter. I have a roof over my head, so I am good there. I need to order a couple of blankets. For all of the monsters I have. They are not dragons or demons. They need to sleep. That is what I assume since they are human-like. I should ask, and I will. For now, I want to set up a camp.

"Jael and Rust should gather wood. Jael, you're a mountain goat, so you should know where good firewood is located. I am assuming, and I apologize, but am I wrong?" I said towards Jael.

"Nope, you are not wrong. This cutie is good at gathering wood from the mountains, forest, or people." She said with a warm smile. I didn't need to know the last part.

"Layla will protect me as we summon more comrades. We will also set up the rest of camp while you guys are gathering wood." I said, looking at the cards in my hand.

"Okay, Master! Rust and I are off to gather wood. I will miss you, sweetie!" Jael said as she peeked inside the shed. Then, Rust and her left to gather wood.
