Chapter 2: A New Power

Subaru had finally reached the loot house where Emilia's insignia was supposed to be. He had managed to avoid or defeat all the enemies that had tried to stop him along the way. He had also convinced Emilia and Puck to wait for him outside, as he wanted to surprise them with his success. He entered the building and searched for the insignia. He found it in a chest in a hidden room. He grabbed it and felt a surge of joy. He had done it. He had completed his mission.

He ran back to the entrance, eager to see Emilia's reaction. He opened the door and saw her standing there, smiling at him. She looked radiant and beautiful in the sunlight. He felt his heart skip a beat. He ran towards her and hugged her. He showed her the insignia and said:

"Look, Emilia-tan! I got it! I got your insignia back!"

Emilia gasped and took the insignia from his hand. She examined it and confirmed that it was hers. She looked at him with gratitude and admiration. She said:

"Subaru-kun, you did it! You really did it! Thank you so much! You're amazing!"

Subaru felt a warm feeling in his chest. He had never seen Emilia so happy before. He smiled and said:

"No, thank you, Emilia-tan! You're the amazing one! You're the best thing that ever happened to me!"

He leaned in and kissed her on the lips. She kissed him back. They felt a spark of electricity between them. They deepened their kiss and wrapped their arms around each other.

Puck watched them with amusement and approval. He said:

"Well, well, well. It looks like you two finally got together. I'm happy for you, Lia. And you too, Subaru."

Subaru and Emilia broke their kiss and looked at Puck. They blushed and smiled sheepishly. They said:

"Thank you, Puck."

Puck nodded and said:

"You're welcome. Now, let's get out of here before someone else shows up."

They agreed and followed Puck out of the loot house. They walked towards the city gate, where they planned to take a carriage back to Roswaal's mansion, where they were staying.

As they walked, Subaru felt a strange sensation in his chest again. He looked down and saw that his heart was glowing with a bright light. He felt a surge of power coursing through his veins. He wondered what was happening to him.

He heard a voice in his head. It was Louaviys, the god of love and benevolence who had pulled him out of his everyday life and into this fantasy world.

The voice said:

"Congratulations, Subaru Natsuki. You have fulfilled your destiny."

Subaru was confused and asked:

"What do you mean? What destiny?"

The voice said:

"You have found your true love in this world. You have made her happy and yourself happy as well. You have achieved what many people dream of but never attain."

Subaru was flattered but still confused. He asked:

"Thank you, but what does that have to do with anything?"

The voice said:

"It has everything to do with everything. You see, I brought you to this world for a reason. I wanted to test you and see if you could overcome the challenges that this world presented to you."

Subaru was shocked and asked:

"What? You mean all this time, everything that happened to me was part of some test?"

The voice said:

"Yes, indeed. I wanted to see if you could survive in this harsh world without losing your humanity or your sanity. I wanted to see if you could find happiness in this world without giving up on your dreams or your morals."

Subaru was angry and asked:

"Why? Why would you do that? Why would you put me through so much pain and suffering? Why would you make me die over and over again?"

The voice said:

"Because I wanted to see if you were worthy of my gift."

Subaru was puzzled and asked:

"Your gift? What gift?"

The voice said:

"The gift of creation."
