Chapter 2 : The Letter

The party decided to go to their rooms and discuss the matter. After a few hours, they reached a consensus.

"We go see our parents. Now."

Hazel nodded nervously. The party quickly packed their belongings and headed to the coach station. They were all excited, yet anxious. They had a letter from their parents, and they wanted to read it.

The party read the letter, which stated that their guardians were dead, and that they had been found by the party's parents. It asked them to come to the city immediately.

The party rode in silence on the coach. No one wanted to say anything, because they didn't know what to say. When they reached the city, they decided to go to their parents' house. When they arrived, they were surprised to see a large crowd. People had come to give them their condolences.

"I'm so sorry." People said.

"I'm so sorr-." People said.

The party walked through the crowd to their parent's house. They were all very sad, for their parents were very well liked and respected. Finally, they reached the door. The party entered the house, and the door was shut, never to be opened again.

The party read their letter, and then laid it down. "We need to talk." Magus said.

"What... are we going to do?" Hazel asked, tears welling up in her eyes.

"We are going to go and see our parents."

"I don't want to!"

"Hazel."

"I... I want to stay here."

"We don't have a choice."

"I can't... I can't go."

"Hazel, we have to go."
