Epilogue: The Return

Many years later, they returned to the higher dimensions. They returned to their original home. They returned to their uncle.

They had grown older and wiser and stronger. They had experienced many things and learned many things and changed many things. They had made a name for themselves and a place for themselves and a legacy for themselves.

They had also grown curious and nostalgic and homesick. They had missed their uncle and their race and their dimension. They had wondered how they were and what they were and why they were.

They decided to go back. They decided to face their past and their present and their future. They decided to face their uncle and their race and their dimension.

They found the crack in reality that they had used to escape. They opened it with their power and entered it with their will. They crossed the barrier between the lower dimensions and the higher dimensions.

They arrived at the grand Roman palace that was floating in oblivion. The palace that was still the same as they had left it. The palace that was still their uncle's creation.

They saw their uncle waiting for them in the courtyard, by the fountain. The fountain that was still spewing water that changed colors every second. The fountain that was still their uncle's favorite.

They saw their uncle looking at them with his eye. His eye that was still floating and levitating in air. His eye that was still his only feature.

They felt his mind speaking to them with his voice. His voice that was still telepathic and powerful and authoritative. His voice that was still his only way of communication.

"Zreiouys! Alice! You're back! I've been expecting you!"

He moved towards them with his levitation. He reached out to them with his power. He tried to hug them with his will.

"Come here! Let me see you! You look wonderful!"

He looked at them with his eye. He spoke to them with his mind.

"I'm so glad you're here! I have so much to tell you! I have so much to ask you! I have so much to show you!"

He smiled with his eyelid. He laughed with his mind.

"I'm so happy! I'm so proud! I'm so sorry!"

He apologized to them with his voice and his mind.

"I'm sorry for what I did to you. I'm sorry for how I treated you. I'm sorry for not understanding you."

He thanked them with his voice and his mind.

"Thank you for coming back. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for loving me."

He loved them with his heart, his soul, his being.

He loved them as his nephew and as his niece.

He loved them as old gods and as humans.

He loved them as Zreiouys and as Alice.

That was their names.

Zreiouys and Alice.
