After resting for a while, Jian Dan propped himself up and stood on his feet, now only wanting to find the uncle as quickly as possible.
"Uncle, are you there? Uncle~" Jian Dan limped towards the depths of the mine...
Jian Dan felt the right side of his body was somewhat numb, relying solely on willpower to keep moving inward.
(Well, sometimes Jian Dan's intelligence isn't quite up to the task. He had never considered that there might be other mineshafts, firmly believing his uncle was inside this one.)
As Jian Dan walked, he suddenly heard a noise, and as he approached, he saw rubble blocking a space. Yet, he could clearly hear sounds coming from within, "Uncle, are you inside there? Uncle?" The person inside did not respond to Jian Dan, just the continuous noise of someone striking stones.
"Uncle, hang in there, I'll rescue you right away," Jian Dan said, beginning to dig at the debris with his bare hands.
