The four let the student out and closed the door behind her. The four then surrounded Teoman on all four sides. Teoman looked at his opponents, smiled and lowered his guard.
Meanwhile, the student coming out looked at the door closing behind her and leaned her back against it.
Teoman had a very good reputation in school. He was especially liked by the girls. He never treated a girl badly. He didn't turn away anyone who needed help. He didn't discriminate between the beautiful and the ugly.
Even though he trapped Teoman, Teoman's thoughts about him made him question himself.
The student's name was Figen. Her family status was above average. Her appearance was one of the few beauties of the school, about 8.3 out of 10. Although she was not in the same class as Teoman, she often heard his name through the gossip among the girls.
Thanks to this, Figen began to wonder about Teoman. Then she started listening to the girls' gossip. When a woman became curious about a man, it was hard not to fall in love. After a while, Figen had fallen in love with Teoman without realizing it.
Figen had a childhood friend named Hava. They had been together since elementary school. There were no secrets between them. Figen trusted Hava more than anything else. After keeping it inside for a while, she decided to tell Hava.
Hava was surprised at first. It was the first time in their 12 years of friendship that she heard that she liked someone.
Hava was not as pretty as Figen. Her family situation was also not very good. Most of the time, Figen helped Hava with all kinds of material and moral support.
When she heard Figen's confession, she encouraged him. She sent Figen to Teoman and said, "You are a lion, a tiger, you can do this job.
When Figen saw the quartet of Teoman, Han, Begüm and Larin after school, she quickly approached them.
The four were surprised to see her coming towards them, but they waited for her to speak, wondering what she was going to say.
Figen greeted the four of them first and then turned to Teoman;
"Teoman, I want to talk to you about something. Can you give me a few minutes?"
Since Teoman was always polite to girls, he did not refuse Figen's request. He turned to his friends.
"You guys go ahead and I'll catch up with you later."
He sent his friends on their way and turned to Figen.
"First of all, would you do me the honor of hearing your name, beautiful lady?"
Figen couldn't help but blush, maybe because of the excitement of the moment or maybe because the man she loved called her beautiful.
"Fi Fi Figen."
She stuttered, saying her name in a very low voice.
"Figen is a beautiful name. It means a bouquet of flowers. A very dignified name for a beautiful lady like you."
Figen started to blush even more when Teoman complimented her. When Teoman noticed that Figen was about to smoke white smoke over her head, he didn't push her any further.
"So, Figen, do you want to talk to me here or do you have another place you prefer?"
He pointed at the crowd of students watching them.
Figen looked around and when she saw so many faces staring at her, she wanted to cower in embarrassment.
Teoman saw that the situation was becoming deadlocked.
"If you want, there is a park right in front of us. It is not very crowded at this time. He can continue talking there."
Figen didn't know what to do at first, but when she heard Teoman's offer, she quickly nodded her head up and down.
When Teoman received her answer with a nod, though not aloud, he held out his hand. He led the way.
"After you."
Figen, wanting to get away from where they were as soon as possible, stepped forward and began to walk away with quick steps. Teoman followed her with a playful smile on his face.
After a while they reached the park. When he saw a bench in a secluded place, he let Figen sit down first and then Teoman sat down.
They waited in silence for a while. Then, when they both spoke at the same time, there was silence again.
This time Teoman spoke first.
"Please, you go first."
Figen hesitated for a while but then began to speak.
"Teoman. I. I... I. YOU. YOU. I like you. I like you."
When he finished the sentence, tears almost came out of his eyes. She turned red from her neck to her ears. She quickly lowered her head, not wanting him to see her like this.
There was silence for a while. Every second that passed seemed like a century to Figen. She waited for Teoman's answer with some excitement and some anxiety as all possible scenarios ran through her mind.
"I am flattered by your confession. I am honored that a beautiful woman like you likes me."
Teoman hesitated a little after saying it with a serious expression and continued.
"But there is someone else that I love. I know it was very difficult for you to confess to me, but I apologize for not being able to answer you."
When she heard Teoman's answer, Figen couldn't help but cry.
One of the things Teoman cannot stand in life is to cry in front of a beautiful woman. Even crying because of her. But Teoman was very familiar with such situations.
Almost half of the girls in the school confessed their love to Teoman and many of them started to cry when they were rejected. As time went by, Teoman learned how to calm down crying women.
He would take Figen's face between his palms and wipe away her tears with his thumbs.
Figen was surprised at first and did not know what to do. Teoman took advantage of her confusion and pulled Figen onto his chest. He started to stroke her back with one hand (there is no malice in it. It is just to comfort her).
"It's okay, it's okay."
When he saw that his attempts to calm her down were working, he continued.
"You know Figen. Maybe it broke your heart, but I apologize for not being able to do anything."
