Tempering his body

In the end, Lu Shang manage to sleep 2 hours later. He had practiced all night but when he became exhausted he could no longer bear to stay awake so he had to.

"Huh, this is a new day and I feel so refreshed. Every morning I will do one or two exercises to keep my body warm and going" Lu Shang woke up early and said taking a deep breath into his body.

The air in the morning was refreshingly clear. Lu Shang, after meditating through the night, felt refreshingly clear-headed and invigorated. Hence, He decided that he would be going for a run every morning, using the oldest and most original method of body tempering technique to strengthen his body. While also doing a certain amount of press-ups that will help his body strengthen more.

"If it was to be back on earth. I would already have been in the gym by now for my bodybuilding" He looked at his body. "But my figure can't be considered bad but I still want to train my body to a certain extent."

With that Lu Shang got started by changing into a short dress before jogging out of his room.

Lu Shang began to jog around the clan with many eyes on him trying to draw out his intentions behind what he was doing.

"What is young master doing? I can't deduce why he is torturing him to this extent or does he think that tempering in such manners will give a glimpse of hope to cultivate. What a wishful thought?" The voices of the guards patrolling around, silently discussed as they watched Lu Shang jogging around the clan slowly.

"Does he think it is easy to exercise his body? Let's watch, very soon he will get tired and eventually go back to his room. How can a bird pretend to be a dragon, soaring higher than them?" Another guard whispered to the ear of his colleagues.

Lu Shang smiled and turned his head to look at the guards who were silently gossiping about. The guards noticed his gaze and smiled back. What the guards didn't know was that their low voices had still been heard by Lu Shang whose sensory ability was now stronger than before.

Soon, people started to wake up in the clan, and behold they saw the figure of Lu Shang still jogging without any sign of tiredness in him.

He had now been jogging for 3 good hours and still, he hadn't reached his limit which caused the mouth of the guards to drop wide open.

After jogging for another hour, he decided to stop and then he entered into the second round of his exercise.

With his body now filled with sweat, he bent his body both sideways, and a cracking sound was emitted from his body, making his bones enter their positions. He continued this for a few seconds before stopping.

"Okay now, let's get myself to start the push-ups" Back then on earth, he had never exercised his body for a long time like this.

The highest push-ups that he had done back on earth was 55. So he wanted to test himself here in this world to see what was his limit. If it were back on earth that he jogged for hours, by now he would be breathing like someone who was struggling for his survival.

Then he started taking the position for the push-up. He brought his body down to the ground and then shifted his hands apart, this will make his push-ups easier.

He did the first thirty with no single pause or difficulty attached, he almost thought it was going to be easy.

"1,2,3,4…..30"

He did the 31 and he started feeling pain coming from his shoulder.

'..40'

After 41, his body became so heavy that he could not even do one extra push-up. How can he allow himself to fail?

"There is no rest" he reminded himself, he isn't qualified to call himself 'LU SHANG' if he can't trespass the 55 push-up limits.

With determination in his heart, he was able to continue with the push-ups.

"50,51,52,53…..100"

He couldn't continue with the 101 as his body fell to the ground flat, breathing in large air. As he reached his limit.

"Interesting… I will be able to pass my limit with each day that I exercise my body"

All this while, Lu Shang had been the figure of attention of the clan. People had been looking at him ever since he started exercising but he didn't care a bit about it.

With that Lu Shang decided to stop.

*****

Every morning Lu Shang exercised his body while at night he was either cultivating or practicing his wind-withering technique to gain more insights into it. In the day he was either found in the library studying the history of his clan or either keeping his mother company.

With each passing day, Lu Shang increased his push-ups limit.

Everyone in the Lu Clan would see what he was doing daily, and though in the beginning, they felt that this type of training method was extremely bizarre, gradually, everyone got used to it. They ignored his existence.

The figure of Lu Shang could be seen jogging around the clan, sometimes his movement will be fast while the other time he will slow down his steps. He was balancing the equation.

The first day he jogged for hours, he felt tired within himself, and his body was filled with sweat but as he continued, he was slowly getting used to it. It was as though the jogging no longer had any effect on his body.

Lu Shang proceeded to his next move, he quickly got himself positioned on the ground, taking a large air into his body before starting his push-ups.

"1,2,3,4,5….100"

He was able to count down to hundred without a single pause or weakness in his body, this brought a huge smile to his face.

He didn't slack behind in his push-ups, soon he count down to 400 and this made him pause before continuing this time his movement was slow but determination could be seen dancing in the depth of his eyes which fuel his heart to continue.

"490,491,492….500"

He didn't rest until he counted down to 500 before stopping. He took the white towel circle around his neck to clean his face.

"Clap, clap, clap…. Interesting!!" A voice drifted over.
