Preparations, Quest completion and killing multiple varmints

Hendrix fell and exited the necromechanical terror as he headed to his residence. Once he arrived, he began his next plan. He first spent ten years building many of his custom vehicles, increasing his supply of wooden needles exponentially, and carving a similar amount of wooden rods.

He also spent another year hunting and turning all the meat into jerky. At the same time, he spent two years clearing all the poisonous mushrooms and plants over many miles. Afterward, he turned all of them into powder and loaded them in wooden crates for later use.

After he did these things, he tried to make a complete monster leather body armor. He spent another decade perfecting it. As he first killed weak monsters and harvested their skin. Afterward used their skin to make leather and tried to customize the armor through trial and error.

Once he finished, he put on one of the many finished body armors he had created. This particular armor's color was dark crimson with maroon stripes. It covered his entire body. Straps held together every part of the armor, so it took effort to take off. It also had three one-inch thick layers.

He also had two long rods, each in a different leather scabbard. These were attached to the side of his legs. They had a symbol which was an upside-down crescent above a pyramid.

While a helmet wholly covered his head. At the same time, a visor hid his face, made from a small piece of the necromechanical terror. Eight long and thin straps attached and hung from both his shoulder pads, with four on each. These straps wrapped around Hendrix's shoulder pads many times.

There were many holes in these straps, each with a wooden needle inside. There were eight hundred needles in all the straps, and the needle's pointy ends faced away from Hendrix's body, so he wasn't poked or stabbed by them during a fight.

The needles were held in place by the hole and squeezed by them. Additionally, Hendrix's strap ends elongated down his arms and connected to the back of his gloves as two tiny bows were attached to the top. And his gloves had small, sharpened bones on the end of them.

Hendrix then grabbed a needle from one of the straps and loaded the tiny bow on his right hand. He aimed it at a circular target on the other side of the room and fired it. The needle hit the middle of the target. Afterward, Hendrix smiled as he pulled the strap part where the needle used to be, as it detached from the rest of the strap.

Hendrix attached it back by sowing it on while nodding in satisfaction as he went and grabbed the needle and put it back in the hole.

'It's time to fight and save.' Hendrix thought as he left and packed plenty of food, needles and spare leather body armor, and an excessive amount of straps.

As Hendrix finished, he left his residence and returned to the citadel, and briskly entered it in his gear. Once, he went down the staircase and arrived at the waterside. He threw a rock at the water again from afar.

'Come out, varmint.' Hendrix thought as he watched with a solemn expression.

The axolotl varmint leaped out of the water and waddled towards Hendrix. Its gaze is a mixture between anger and hunger.

Hendrix lured the varmint away from the water. Once he drew it a sufficient distance away, he again ran away.

The varmint became extremely angry, but its pace couldn't keep up. As it snorted in anger while cutting and ripping up the grass around.

Hendrix stopped and walked back after he was out of sight. As he returned, he took a roundabout path toward it. Once he saw it in the distance, he lay on the ground and began to crawl.

As he approached, he grabbed two needles and loaded one onto the tiny bow on his hand.

Hendrix then aimed at its left eye from an obscure angle and, once he was steady, fired. As the wooden needle flew through the air, it quietly pierced through the varmints eye.

The varmint screeched in pain as another needle pierced through its other eye, blinding it.

Afterward, Hendrix got up and ran toward the varmint, and as he did, he threw a rock at it. After this, he quickly put a needle inside his tiny bow. And he shot it at the varmint's chest.

As this happened, the varmint leaped at Hendrix with its claws and mouth open. At the same time, the needle hit and sank into its chest.

Hendrix fell on his back on purpose. After which, he quickly took out one of his wooden poles. At the same time, he mustered all the strength in his body and swung at the needle in the varmint's chest.

The pole pushed the needle and itself into the varmint's chest, and the varmint flew over. Hendrix held onto it for dear life as it cut through the varmints chest and organs. Once this ended, the varmint fell to the ground and on its back.

The varmint's chest and abdomen were roughly split open. Its heart weakly beat as it split in two as the varmints body twitched.

'Did I kill it?' Hendrix curiously thought as he got up and looked at the helpless varmint.

Blood spilled from the massive wound as the varmint drew its last breath.

[You have created a save point. Do you wish to save?]

[Y/N]

'Yes, please save.' Hendrix thought as he looked at his ruined straps. And the wooden needles everywhere.

Hendrix sighed a bit as he looked at the carcass of the varmint. He then pondered how to kill more this way but not screw up his armor.

As he pondered, he came up with a possible idea. He returned to the surface and swapped his full body armor for a fresh, undamaged one. After this, he returned and threw two rocks into separate places in the water.

Two axolotl varmints leaped out of the water and onto land. And when they spotted Hendrix, they waddled toward him awkwardly, not caring about each other's presence.

Hendrix again lured them away from the water and, when far enough, ran off. The varmints smelled the carcass and hungrily turned toward it.

Hendrix arrived quietly before shooting a needle into one of their eyes while ignoring the others. Once this happened, he shot two more needles into both of the varmints remaining eyes, blinding them.

Hendrix walked back excitedly, throwing a rock at one of the varmints. And once it reflexively leaped at Hendrix, he loaded his tiny bow with a needle. Hendrix quickly fired it at that varmint's chest.

When he shot the varmint, it didn't react because of its agony, as it landed and continued to claw at its face, desperately trying to get the needles out.

Hendrix then ran at the targeted varmint and threw another rock at it.

As the varmint leaped at Hendrix, he stepped to its right side before grabbing one of his wooden poles and swinging it where the needle was. Barely away from its claws range.

The varmint cried out as its chest and abdomen split open before falling to the ground weakly. And Its heartbeat and breathing ceased.

[You have killed an Axolotl Varmint.]

[You can't earn XP Tribulations.]

[Explorer and Killer Main Tribulation quests grade has risen due to your kill.]

'Can you mute all notifications about the axolotl varmints? It will be annoying if I get these notifications every time I kill one.' Hendrix thought that this decision would prevent him from being distracted in battle.

[Acknowledged]

Hendrix then ran at the other varmint and repeated the same actions. Though after he succeeded in embedding a needle in the varmint's chest and ran toward it. It leaped at him before he was ready to attack.

Hendrix brought his hands above his head and moved them to the left as his wooden rod pointed downward vertically. He blocked the varmints claw which came at him from the left horizontally. But he shakily held onto the wooden pole.

"Ugh, our size difference makes this troublesome. I'm going to have to adapt." Hendrix said out loud as he thought the varmints couldn't understand him.

Hendrix stepped backward while he stopped blacking before swinging his wooden rod at the needle, pushing it deep into the varmint. And he subsequently cut open the varmint's chest and abdomen.

The force caused this varmint to fall over and pass on quickly as its heart split in two.

'I killed three of these obnoxious varmints. And that makes me tired. Their unfair unlimited energy and overpowered skills make it exponentially harder to fight them." Hendrix thought as he sat beside the varmint corpses to catch his breath.

Hendrix continued to rest for an hour. Once finished, he left the citadel and returned to his residence, peddling his custom vehicle. He then grabbed an axe, a few fur blankets, and some flint as he planned to make a camp just outside the citadel.

He followed his plan as he pedaled back to the citadel. Once he arrived, he gathered wood and lit a fire. However, he made it small so he didn't attract unwanted attention.

Hendrix then built a makeshift bed underneath his custom vehicle and fell asleep.
