After handing over the Qi beast Qi core, Alex didn't rush back to his quarters. Instead, his priority was to visit Elder Liang.

The connection between them had significantly deepened over the recent weeks. Nowadays, it seemed, Alex was spending the majority of his time in the elder's company.

Upon reaching the sect's armory, Alex ascended the stairs that led to Elder Liang's quarters.

The pair of guards stationed there made no move to halt his progress. They were well aware of his relationship with Elder Liang and recognized him as the elder's disciple.

The long climb upstairs brought him to Elder Liang's room, which was as tattered as he remembered.

As he stepped into the room, Elder Liang's voice echoed from within, "I see you've already become quite comfortable using my name for your amusement," he remarked.

Following the direction of Elder Liang's voice, Alex found himself in a part of the room he hadn't previously visited.
