Chapter 82. Death.

When Alex blinked his eyes open once again, the sun was still stubbornly lodged at its zenith in the sky, indicating that he had not been asleep for very long. He must have only caught about an hour or two of rest.

There was no one else in sight, the area devoid of any other presence, especially that of Chen Wei, who had seemingly disappeared from Alex's field of vision.

Having realized this, Alex pondered over it, thinking aloud to himself, "It seems he went hunting after all." He propped himself against a rock, his body slumped in boredom.

His legs and feet began to fidget, idly interacting with anything they came in contact with.

The dullness of his situation gradually began to lull him back into a state of drowsiness. The prospect of returning to sleep seemed increasingly appealing in the face of his extreme boredom.
