The chatter from a small group consisting of three people tweaked Alex's interest, prompting him to divert his attention to their ongoing conversation in hopes of extracting any worthwhile information.

Even though the group wasn't particularly loud or near Alex, he, being a cultivator, had significantly enhanced hearing compared to the ordinary patrons of the Golden Moon Pavilion, which allowed him to eavesdrop on their discussion.

The first to speak was Ming Liu, a flunky of Zhang Jie's, who addressed his question to Zhang Jie, asking, "Brother Zhang Jie, do you suppose he'll be apprehended tonight?"

Zhang Jie's other lackey, Tao Wang, responded without hesitation, "What do you think? Of course, he'll be caught tonight."
