FLASHBACK

Professor Winsel realized that John was not healed after everything returned to normal. He called for medics to rush John to the medical ward. As everything happened around John he had a flashback to when it all began.

A week ago the expedition had ended and all teams were returned to the school. When they returned everything was going well. The examiners had been called to a meeting where they would give a report on all information gathered and everything that happened. Professor Winsel reported everything that happened during his teams exploration and John was sent to the medical wing to have an official health evaluation and there the medical personnel found out about John's inability to use his Domain ability. The information was labeled as classified and was kept between the school personnel only. At least that's what John thought. The whole school had been gathered in the training building and there the information was released to the students. First thing that was discussed was the team rankings. John's team ended up at rank 5 in their class. There were only thirty students in the special domain class and they were all in groups of 5. Next the students were informed of a big event that would happen at the end of the week. When a person first unlocks their Domain element, they can use all abilities they create with no severe drawbacks for the first month. After the month an event called the great reset occurs where the domain system of all newly developed domain users are updated to the normal version. This phenomenon would be explained better after the week was over. Then next they went over all the information gathered by every team that went on the expedition. After the students were informed of newcomers called late bloomers who would be joining them this week. All official lessons would start when the week ended. The final thing the students were informed of was John's inability to use his domain ability. The students were told not to inform him of this announcement and to treat John the same as always.

After the announcements were over John joined up with his team and they all went to their classes however while walking John noticed that everyone was giving him strange glances, some of concern, some of superiority, some of disgust and some of sympathy. "Why is everyone looking at me like that?" He asked but per the instructions given they were not allowed to say. When they entered the classroom the attention of everyone was on John. Professor Winsel was still in the meeting with the other examiners and was going to be there for a while. Due to the examiners being in the meeting most of them didn't know what was going on and the students had been warned not to tell anyone that they knew. When the day ended the attention was still on John although nothing really happened that day. The second day however things didn't go as normal.

The second day since the students had returned there were some new faces. The half empty classroom had finally been filled and now the students realized why the classrooms had some empty seats even though it seemed everyone was in school. It was because of the late bloomers. As John entered the class he saw a lot of new faces. As he went to his seat he noticed that for some reason everyone was still interested in him, even the newcomers. As he sat there minding his own business two boys who looked to be great friends came to him. One had jelled back jet black hair and the other had messy blue hair. "Hi, you must be John. Nice to meet you my name is Jake and my friend's name is Mickey." The black haired boy said. "I heard that you lost your domain ability. If you are ever in trouble don't hesitate to ask as for help. We were in the team that ranked second on the expedition so don't worry about our strength." Jake said. "Where did you hear that?" John asked. Although the teachers said not to tell John of the announcement they never said not to use other students as shields. "The team you came with told us. The point is this place can get really dangerous so if anything happens we are always ready to help." Jake replied. With that the two walked off and left John to his thoughts. Soon his friends returned and as they came over they saw that John wasn't his usual self. He didn't greet them, he didn't make his usual jokes and he didn't have his usual look on his face. As the group was discussing about the events of the expedition John was awfully quiet and Mia noticed this. The first period was over and the students went on a thirty minute break. As John walked out the door to the classroom his team had followed him. "Hey John is everything alright? You seem quiet today." Speedy asked. As John turned his head to look at the team he couldn't hold in his thoughts anymore. "I can't believe you guys. I thought we were a team. We were meant to help each other and keep things a secret yet the second we returned and I was out of sight you guys go blabbing about me not having my domain anymore. We were supposed to be friends. Out of all of you the one I can't believe the most was my very own sister couldn't keep my secret. I am very disappointed in all of you." John said walking off. "Wait John where are you going?" Speedy ask. "I think I need a few days away from you guys and no one should follow me. Not even you speedy." John said as he left the area.

The week had been very tiring for him. He couldn't look his friends in the face after what they had done. He became a social outcast. He was constantly bullied, belittled and embarrassed for not having a domain ability. Worst of all one of the newcomers couldn't get it through his head that you can't just kick someone out of a school because he didn't have a domain ability. This newcomer had been constantly targeting John and even though he said he wanted a break from them it hurt him even more that his friends weren't helping him with the situation. The newcomer that had been bullying him was a person who only cared about power and nothing else. He treated those weaker than him as if they were less than human. It was a tall boy with blonde hair and his ability was a strange and unique one landing him in special domain class. The same class where John is. He hated the fact that a person without a domain was in the same class as him and was getting more attention than him. He just hated John for existing. The boy was evil just because he wanted to be and somehow John was the only one to experience such things.

The medical team patched up John as best they could and then John was questioned about what happened. When he tried to give an answer something strange happened. He and every single person who had been injured in that chaos had simultaneously and collectively lost their memories of the event. It was the same thing that happened the first time the school tried to test for domain elements. This made the school intensify their efforts to find out what happened but professor Winsel's ultimate skill had reversed everything and the students could not recall anything that happened weirdly even Mia. These events led there being absolutely no evidence what so ever. It was like the whole event never happened.
