Change

I was ready for a change. I met up with the twins and headed to the Yukon Enterprise building.

I ran inside and went up to the Lobby attendant.

"Excuse us miss, we have an appointment with Mr. Otto. Is it possible to contact him?"

  I asked the lady as she nodded.

"Sure, Can I get your name sir?"

"Nova Carnegie."

I answered as I looked around. It looked as majestic as ever.

"OK thank you, sir. You may go sit over there. I"ll contact you guys."

She spoke as she typed something on her computer.

The three of us sat on a couch. It was huge.

"So Nova, you ready?"

"Yeah, pretty excited man."

I replied to Aaron as I looked at him.

After waiting for about 5 minutes the lady called us over.

"If you can follow me, sir."

"Yeah, sure."

"Please get in."

She got in the elevator door and held it for us.

"Thank you."

Annie spoke as she got in.

We headed to the top floor. We had to go 50 floors but we reached the floor in about 30 seconds. I was quite surprised.

The elevator door opened and the lady walked out.

"Follow me, Sir."

She spoke as she walked down the hallway. We quietly followed her.

"Looks like there are many strong individuals on earth."

Viktor stromblade spoke as he looked at the notepad.

"Yes, Sir. They are Master Rowan's pupils. One of them is his brother."

His attendant spoke as he took the notepad from Viktor.

"Interesting... I want to get in contact with them."

Viktor spoke as he got up from his chair. He walked over to a window and looked at the clear sky.

"Yes sir, I'll personally look into it."

"I want to meet the purple-haired kid. He looks interesting." 

Viktor spoke as kept staring into the sky.

"I'm going to go meet them now."

He spoke as he turned and looked at his attendant.

"Sir, that is not possible. We can't have you go during the New divine nexus exam."

"You have Angelica. She can look over it. And then again you can't stop me, Can you?"

Viktor looked at Horton's eyes with a deadly stare.

"Yes sir...."

"I'm Joking... but in the end, I'm still going."

Viktor spoke as he went back to his chair and sat down.

"But sir. Please do not recruit them during this crisis."

"Sure, I'm just going to meet them."

Horton nodded as he exited the room.

We were sat in Mr. Otto's room

"Ok guys, give me about 3 minutes. I'll get ready."

Mr. Otto spoke to us as he went into a room.

"Do you have any info about where we are going to train?"

Annie asked me.

"No, this is my first time as well."

I replied as I got up from the couch and looked out the window. Everything looked normal even though I was on the 5oth floor. I wasn't normal anymore. I could see everything up to 3km. It was quite amusing as I could zoom in and out with my eyes.

Slam-

"Ok, let's get going guys."

Mr.Otto slammed the room door open.

"Ok, I'm ready."

I exclaimed with excitement.

We headed to a secured area. A warehouse came into vision as we got closer to it.

"This is where you guys will be training."

Mr.Otto spoke and told the car driver to stop the car.

We followed him into the warehouse. From the outside, it looked small but the inside was huge. It looked like we were on some dry land. But the air felt purer than ever.

"Where are we, Sir?"

I asked Mr. Otto as I looked around the place.

"Please, no formalities. Just call me Otto."

"Ok Otto, Can you explain."

Annie asked him as she had a huge smile on her face.

"Yes, this is just a replica of a training ground on Synthex. It's the place where I learned how to perform Nexabane [soul awakening]."

"Nexabane?"

Aaron replied to Otto as he stared at him

"Just think of it as a level-up. There is a next level that you can achieve but it only works if you are worthy enough."

"I guess that's what Rowan used to kill that one crier."

I spoke as I nodded. I wanted to level up.

"OK, Before we start. Can I get to know the names of your nexus blades or souls to be exact?"

Otto asked us.

"My nexus blade's name is Lyra."

Annie replied as she looked at Otto.

"Lyra? The goddess of Frost. Seems like you were worthy enough to get contracted to her."

Otto's face looked like he had seen a ghost or something. I was quite surprised after seeing his repression as well.

"My nexus blade or should I say nexus gun is Cartier Red."

"Cartier Red? Carti, like the rapper?"

I replied as I stared at Aaron.

"Yes. Well not really but yeah. I call him carti"

Aaron answered me and looked at Otto again.

"Aaron, Annie I'm surprised by the souls you have contracted. Cartier Red was a nexus soul that was contracted by one of the strongest captains. He is now dead but he was a member of the strongest 5."

"Strongest 5?"

I asked him. I was never informed about any strongest five.

"The guards of the Nexus queen."

Otto replied. I now found out that there is a Queen who rules all the realms.

"So, I've contracted a strong Soul then."

Aaron spoke and asked Otto.

"Yes, It's quite impressive. The soul emanation reserve you guys have is huge. So I guess it makes sense now."

Otto replied to Aaron as he had a big smile on his face. It kind of looked creepy like he was plotting something.

"What about you Nova, What is the name of your nexus blade?"

"Kikei Jigoku."

I answered him but Otto's expression changed completely.

"What did you say?"

He exclaimed as he got closer to me

"Kikei Jigoku is his name. Why, is something wrong."
