Chapter 29

Xain's assault continued without mercy. After landing a powerful punch to Lennix's nose, the vampire found himself backed against the bathtub, nursing his injured but healing nose. However, Xain pressed on relentlessly, refusing to give Lennix time to recover. Xain charged forward and unleashed a devastating kick to Lennix's temple, sending the vampire sprawling forward onto his hands and knees.

"Could you just pause for a moment?" Lennix pleaded, his voice strained, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. Ignoring Lennix's cries, Xain seized the vampire by the hair and pulled him closer, positioning him dangerously close to the toilet.

"Oh, come on! Please, spare me this," Lennix begged, but his fate was already sealed. Xain ruthlessly smashed Lennix's head into the porcelain toilet with a deafening crash.

The toilet shattered into pieces, water gushing out, with Lennix left face-down on the damp floor. "Great, just great," Lennix muttered sarcastically as Xain reached for his hair once more. However, this time, Lennix reacted swiftly. With a swift spin, he aimed a powerful elbow strike at Xain, who managed to dodge the attack by swaying to the side. The evasive maneuver forced Xain to release his grip on Lennix's hair.

"Okay, finally, my turn," Lennix declared, his black claws extending from his fingertips. He lunged at Xain with blinding speed, Lennix unleashing a series of rapid strikes aimed at various parts of Xain's body. He started with a vicious swipe at Xain's throat, a move intended to incapacitate quickly. As Xain deftly leaned back, barely evading the deadly trajectory of Lennix's claw, the vampire didn't miss a beat. He followed up with a low, sweeping attack toward Xain's knees, aiming to knock him off balance. Xain, with an agile sidestep, narrowly avoided the potentially crippling blow.

Lennix didn't relent; he continued his relentless assault. His next move was a diagonal slash aimed at Xain's chest, intended to inflict a deep and potentially fatal wound. Xain's reflexes saved him as he twisted his torso, causing the claws to graze his clothing instead of piercing his flesh.

But Lennix was cunning, and his attacks were unpredictable. He swiftly transitioned from his slashing attack to a thrust, targeting Xain's abdomen with a lightning-fast stab. Xain, with a lightning-quick step backward, narrowly escaped the lethal strike, feeling the wind generated by the claw's movement brushing against his skin.

Despite the supernatural swiftness of the vampire's assault, Xain displayed remarkable agility. He moved with uncanny speed, not quite matching Lennix but managing to evade the deadly attacks by a hair's breadth. With each close call, Xain managed to slip out of the path of Lennix's claws, just barely avoiding being slashed.

Then, seizing a fleeting opportunity, Xain closed the distance between them and expertly transitioned into a clinch, attempting to immobilize Lennix and disrupt his frenzied assault.

As Xain tightened his grip in the clinch, Lennix found himself trapped, his freedom of movement restricted. With his mobility limited, Xain wasted no time and unleashed a barrage of punishing knee strikes, ruthlessly targeting Lennix's ribs. Lennix, not being an expert in grappling, struggled to block some of the knee strikes. However, Xain's relentless assault pushed Lennix to his limits.

Then, with a sudden and unexpected move, Xain delivered a strike to the most sensitive part of a man's anatomy. Lennix winced in agony, his voice betraying the pain he felt. "Ugh, that was low," he grumbled through clenched teeth.

Xain, undeterred by Lennix's complaint, continued his brutal assault. With a well-timed trip, he sent Lennix tumbling backward into the bathtub. The impact was brutal, as Lennix's spine and head collided with the unforgiving porcelain, leaving him stunned and dazed.

Xain, fueled by his unrelenting rage, tore the sink from the wall with a visceral determination. He wielded it like a makeshift weapon, his grip unwavering as he approached the dazed vampire. Lennix, shaken but still defiant, looked up at Xain, his voice tinged with exasperation as he exclaimed, "Oh, come on, this is just getting ridiculous!"

Xain's eyes burned with fury, and he paid no heed to Lennix's protest. With a resounding crash, he brought the heavy sink down upon the vampire's head, shattering porcelain and sending crimson streams trickling down Lennix's face. The vampire, now sprawled on the ground, clutched his wounded head, groaning in agony as Xain, undeterred, grabbed him by the legs and began to drag him out of the bathroom. Lennix's resistance had crumbled under the relentless assault.

Xain, fueled by his unrelenting rage, tore the sink from the wall with a visceral determination. He wielded it like a makeshift weapon, his grip unwavering as he approached the dazed vampire. Lennix, shaken, looked up at Xain, despite his predicament, he couldn't help but remark, "Oh, come on, this is just getting ridiculous!"

Xain's eyes burned with fury, and he paid no heed to Lennix's protest. With a resounding crash, he brought the heavy sink down upon the vampire's head, shattering porcelain and sending crimson streams trickling down Lennix's face. In his relentless rage, Xain grabbed Lennix by the legs and dragged him out of the bathtub, leaving the vampire sprawled on the floor, clutching his bleeding head in agony.

Xain's fury knew no bounds. After tearing through the wall and grabbing a metal pipe, he broke it at one end, fashioning a crude but deadly weapon. He approached the downed vampire, his eyes burning with unbridled rage.

Lennix's desperation was palpable. He pleaded, "Wait, wait, wait, wait! I didn't ag-!" but his words were cut short as Xain mercilessly drove the sharpened pipe through the vampire's chest. Lennix writhed in pain, but he didn't meet his end, and his expression was twisted with agony. He managed to gasp, "You missed my... heart."

Xain, drenched in anger, retorted, "Wasn't aiming for it." He unleashed a relentless flurry of punches on the vampire, venting his pent-up fury for all the suffering Lennix had inflicted.

Xain, exhausted and battered, loomed over the injured vampire, a shard of porcelain clenched firmly in his hand, poised to end the creature's existence. Lennix, writhing in pain, attempted to plead for mercy amidst the suffering, uttering, "You know... you've got quite the anger issues." His words tried to find an opening in Xain's resolve, but his words fell on deaf ears.

Just as Xain was about to deliver the final blow, Lennix implored, "Could you please just listen to me?" He was desperate for a chance to speak. However, before Xain could execute his grim task, a voice called out from behind him. "Xain?"

He turned abruptly, eyes widening in disbelief. "Zee?" he stammered, his exhaustion and astonishment evident. Zee stood there, unharmed and filled with concern. "Xain, what are you doing!?" she exclaimed, her voice laced with alarm. The sight of her and the sound of her voice washed over him like a soothing balm, draining the last remnants of his strength. With a heavy sigh, he collapsed, slipping into unconsciousness.
