Chapter 69

In the dimly lit chambers of the fae palace, Darian's eyes bore into Victor, an air of tension enveloping the room.

Darian's sharp gaze demanded answers, "Victor, what did you learn from the escaped dark fae? Anything about Althea and Fiona?"

Victor hesitated, glancing around cautiously before responding, "Nay, Your Majesty. They remain elusive. The dark fae revealed little, and their whereabouts remain a mystery."

Darian's frustration surfaced, his fingers tapping impatiently on the ornate table. "We must find them, Victor. The mate bond with Althea persists, but it's elusive, like grasping at shadows. What about Valentine? Any word from him?"

Victor shifted uncomfortably, "Valentine is investigating, but information is scarce. It's as if they've vanished into thin air."

Darian sighed, the weight of his responsibilities pressing on him. "I can still feel the bond, but it's weakening. Something's wrong, Victor do what you must to find Althea."
