Grateful!

Chloe stood up to argue more with her father
"I'm not going to Russia , no way I'm staying here for college and there's nothing you can do to stop me or change my mind " she yelled glaring daggers at her so called father
" we'll see about that gether scolded her
" am i not part of your family father , i'm your daughter too" her eyes watered
" No! , you're just a bastards daughter i just took you in and you're not even grateful" Andrew couldn't take Chloe's stubborn attitude , can't she just obey him for once .
" why would i be grateful... you only care for Steph and Milly" she scoffed and chuckled wryly in disbelief .
how dare he mention that word 'grateful'
just how dare he
Grateful ! , for what?
for neglecting her all these years while he showed Milly all the love
"Milly is my true blood unlike you and STEPHANIE is your step mother and my wife so you should respect her " her father said through gritted teeth while pointing his fore finger at her
." well family is not only about blood father" Chloe said in a more lower tone as if pleading him .
"get ready for your flight to Melbourne tomorrow"
"TOMMOROW!!" her eyes flew wide at his words and she screamed
"no more excuses I can't stand you anymore" he said with finality in his voice and exited the living room.


Chloe went to her room frustrated , infact no words could describe what she was feeling. Her mother had abandoned her when she was just three years old, her father found out her mother had been having an affair , he did a DNA test and found out she was not his child. Her father had been very happy he had a daughter but when he found out he hated her, he threw her mother and her out of his house and told her never to come back, but her mother came back six months later and told him she couldn't take care of the child because she didn't have enough money to feed herself much less of a child. she handed the child to him then left and never came back. her father never treated her with love , he hired nannies to take care of her and gave them enough money to add to her needs . he never loved her , well he used to but not anymore since she was not his blood and because she was a living proof of her mom's affair . She hated both of them even her biological father who till date she had not met before . her Father got married two years later and gave birth to Milly.
she and Milly never got along because of her stepmother always got in the way , she knew Milly liked her but Steph would always scold Milly if she neared her
'WHAT A MOTHER' Chloe always thought
Chloe had no friends because she was home schooled, she had online friends but it was not just the same . she always dreamt of going to a school filled with teenagers who had awful or better lives than her but not anymore she was not a teenager anymore. she was satisfied.. not happy but satisfied with her life now and she didn't want anything to change.
Chloe left the villa to get some fresh air as she was tired of crying . her face was all swollen and her eyes were red
she decided to have a drink since the weather was extremely hot or maybe because she was wearing her hoodie . she went to the nearby juice shop and ordered an orange juice.
"just wait a second ma'am "
"sure" Chloe replied as she put her hands in the pockets of her hoodie .
"here you go"
"thank you"
"your card?"
"yeah,here it is " she said handing it to the lady behind the counter as she put her juice on the counter.. she noticed the cashier was having problem with her card
"is there something wrong?" she asked , already suspecting something was definitely wrong
" I'm sorry ma'am your card isn't working " the employee said with a frown on her face ..
"what do you mean try again" Chloe said as she heaved a sigh hoping Steph didn't block her card again
"i'm sorry,i have tried thrice already " the employee said handing the card over to Chloe.
" oh then Thank God i haven't taken a sip yet" chloe faked a smile , she really wanted to have a drink.
she knew she could have one at home but she just earned her freedom so she wanted to use it in anyway she felt like she was taking her leave when a guy suddenly said he'll be paying.
