Fifty Million
"i wanted to tell you that when you leave for Russia you're not coming back , Mother closed your card for a reason" Milly said running her hands through her hair
." how does that even make any sense , i'll be back in a few years .. i'm only going to Russia for college " Chloe replied still confused.
" if you think so, why do you think father has not paid your college fees yet , you are going to get stranded in Russia , no where to go Chloe"Milly sighed then continued " look Chloe i'm just tryi--"
" please get out of my room" Chloe said getting back in her bed " goodnight"Milly greeted as she left her room.
Chloe kept thinking of what Milly said , They wanted to abandon her . Send her to Russia without any money , she couldn't sleep , did they have to do this to her to really show they didn't care . She also thought about what the guy who she met earlier in the juice shop who's name and face she couldn't remember said .
She sighed and finally slept. She woke up due to an insanely loud alarm "what the heck" she murmured rubbing her opened eyes. She swung her legs off her bed and walked towards the door, before she could open it someone knocked.....not a proper knock but a rude one as if , if the door wasn't locked the person would barge in.
She opened the door and saw her pretty stepmother standing in front of her with her Father holding onto her shoulders and massaging it . Steph gave her a hard glare and Chloe could not help but raise a brow .
"get dressed you're leaving for Russia now" Steph commanded
" uhh?! " was only what Chloe managed to say and her father said
"you're going to be late , you're not missing this flight" .
"isn't it to soon .. please Father let me stay" Chloe pleaded " get dressed now " her Father commanded like he was scolding her then left her door with Steph .
Chloe sighed then closed her door . she took a bath and got dressed . she didn't pack anything cause she knew her Nannies would have done that , she picked her phone up and left the room . She stared at her room door for a while ' i wont see this room anymore ' she thought.
Walking to the living room she saw everyone including her Nannies waiting for her with her luggages arranged .
"let's get going" Steph said
"wait you've not opened my credit card back Steph" Chloe said trying to remind her dear stepmother while Steph glared at her , if looks could kill she would have been long dead by now . Chloe faced her father "Father i want 50 million wired to my account before i leave for Russia "
" WHAT! fifty million "Steph screamed and Chloe covered her ears . Steph faced her husband
"honey we're not going to give her fifty million , what is this Chloe don't you have some res--" before Steph could finish scolding her , Steph's husband cut her off "is that all you need Chloe" he asked
"yes father , that's all i need " Chloe replied while Steph could not process what was happening, she gave her husband a ' what are you doing ' look while her husband smiled back then he whispered something in her ear "let me take care of this , wife" . He brought out his phone from his pocket . Milly looked at Chloe then smiled and Chloe did the same and mouthed a thank you to Milly. if they were going to abandon her they should do it right Milly thought as she was enjoying the show of what her parents might do next. she saw her father bring out his phone meaning he was sending the money to Chloe , she could only smile .. Chloe was finally leaving this family that didn't want her , she was happy for that.
"times running out honey , let's get going we can't let her miss the flight"Steph said .
" true Chloe we should get going , we're not missing this flight "her father said finally raising his head up to look at her .. he showed her his phone screen and she could only see successful and she nodded
" yes dad i-" chloe noticed her father's darkened look at her and she stopped talking realising what she just said , she cleared her throat and rephrased her sentence "yes Father , just one more thing" Chloe got relieved that her father had loosened his look and she sighed .he had always told her not to call him her Daddy . Steph looked like she was losing her patience and so did her father
."what is it " her father asked like he was eager and couldn't wait to get over with the conversation and get back to abandoning her
"tell your wife to stop closing my card " chloe quickly said as she crossed her arms over her chest while her father stared at Steph like he was confused
"Steph!" her father said in a very low tone like he was scolding his wife
"what she is very wasteful" Steph said as she glared at Chloe
" no i'm not , and you both know that "Chloe argued .
"honey please let's get going , we're getting late "Steph said trying to change the subject while her father took a quick glance at Chloe then shifted his eyes back to his wife .
"i'm not going anywhere if she does not agree to this , she keeps cutting my rights , my only right . i am finally leaving so i don't want any disturbance , i'm not asking for much anyways it's only 50 million "chloe quickly said as she kept staring at the good looking couple giving them a final look.
Steph eyes widened as she heard ONLY 50 MILLION like it was a cheap change "ON--" Steph wanted to say as Chloe quickly cut her off
"i could have asked for my black card you know ,but i did not i'm being very responsible here "Chloe said as she smiled and Steph could only scoff and stare at her husband .
"are you seeing this Andrew " Steph asked her husband pointing at Chloe.Steph not knowing what to say before she could process words to use for this disrespectful female , her husband had already told chloe that no such thing will happen again and Chloe trusted his words ,because she could see how much this couple loved each other ,Steph will probably listen to him she thought as she put on a little smile .
