Bankrupt

Chloe wasted a whole day exploring Levi's house , it was a big house for just one person she thought .

she changed her clothes , removed her other clothes from her suitcase and arranged her other stuff inside the room which was now hers .

she watched lots of movies on Netflix and kept eating Levi's food which he tagged as private property chloe kept wandering isn't it weird to like put private property on something when you're the only one living here ,but she ate it anyways .

After wasting a lovely day the sky started to turn dark blue and chloe still thought Levi was teasing her earlier . well he was male anyways ,she heard males don't like staying at home plus he was old enough so she didn't care .

it was past eleven in the night when chloe was fast asleep but she soon woke up when she heard her phone ring beside her pillow ."who the hell is it at this hour ,i just want to sleep" she said covering her yawn with her left hand while her right hand searched for the phone next to her pillow ,she didn't bother checking the contact name and hit the answer . "helllooooo?" she said softly while rubbing her eyes .

"Chloe! , sorry for calling you this late " Chloe's closed eyes widened immediately after hearing her father's voice on the other line of the phone .

"f-f-f-father" she stammered , shocked. she had not expected him to call her anymore. she sat on the bed adjusting herself to get comfortable ..

"i wasn't expecting a call from you father , i'm so glad you decided to call" she said smiling that her father had decided to check up on her . "don't worry father , i had a few probelms but i go-"

"I didn't call to ask about that , i've gone bankrupt "he said directly ignoring his daughters words .

" WHAT?!" she asked really shocked "wait how? "she asked again, she just left like four days ago , how did he go bankrupt. "i need to borrow some of the money i gave you " he said ignoring her words again ." i promise to give you back " he added .

Chloe didn't know what to say , she was a fool to think this man would actually call to check up on her after purposely abandoning her . she was furious to know that the only reason he called was to collect the money he had given to her that his wife had stolen. she didn't reply to her father's words and forgot she was still on the phone with him. "Chloe are you listening " her father asked and Chloe's grip on her phone tightened like she would break it if she could . "chloe, Chloe " her father called her repeatedly." go ask your wife "she said as she hung up before her father could say anything .

'what a father' she screamed in her thoughts . she blocked his line so he couldn't keep calling her , she tried to sleep and this man woke her up for this stupid reason.

'why did God bless her with such a wonderful life with loving parents' she thought sarcastically .

she kept trying to sleep but she couldn't .

"Father got bankrupt , serves him right " she thought

" wait what about Steph and Milly" she thought again. she had lots of questions with what had happened after the day she left .

she got off her bed and out of her room "damn i need to get this thoughts out of my head" she murmured . she walked to the mini bar she spotted earlier in Levi's house .

she picked a liquor and started drinking .

After drinking two bottles , she still didn't feel drunk enough , she was never light-headed as she drank everytime her father, Steph or Milly did anything unfair to her . she started drinking when she was sixteen and caused a scene at her father's business meeting.

Chloe took the last bottle of the liquor and started drinking until she heard the sound of the door open.

"don't you know you should always lock the do-" Levi was saying until he scanned his house and saw how filthy it was . "Levi you're back" .
