Mylo sat in class hovering a pencil in between his fingers, using his telekinesis to move it. Oh yeah, he could do that too. His powers were strange, and he had no one to ask about them, no way to tell if he had even more he didn't know about, what even was he? Not human that's for sure. He made a quiet gasp and dropped his pencil when his teacher looked his way, but she didn't seem to notice a thing. He daydreamed for most of his math class, thinking about how crazy the last week has been. He flew, he learned he could move things, and he looked for anyone else who could do the same, but of course no one could. He worried about telling people, but it sucked to lie to his friends. And when the bell rung, he sprung out of his seat and raced down the hallway.
...
He had a long walk home, didn't live too close to his school. And everyday he brought in the mail, the key to the mailbox chained to his bus pass. Just like any other day, he twisted the key and opened the box, picked up some fliers and bills and stuff like always. But as he walked away he sifted through the letters "For my mom, for my dad, for my dad, for...me?" There was a letter addressed to him? He never got mail, and certainly not mail like this, this letter looked so off, it was all pastel pink, and instead of a sticker, the letter was sewn closed, there wasn't any stamps, no address either, how did this even get in his mailbox? It's as if someone pried it open and placed the letter in there themself. Lost in thought he almost ran into the door to his house, but he decided to unlock it instead. He tossed his bag on the floor and stared at the letter... but he jumped and shoved the letter in his hoodie pocket when his father came up from his basement stairs to greet him. "Hey, how was school?" his dad said coming into the doorway and leaning on the wall "Good, good. I got the mail too." Mylo handed his dad all the letters, well, minus one. "Surprise. It's bills." Mylo said with a smile "Yup." Mylo felt the letter in his pocket "I got a lot of homework to get back to..." "Yeah of course, have fun with that!!" "I definitely won't!!" Mylo said heading upstairs with a wave, and he only pulled out the letter when the door shut. He tore through the envelope disregarding the fact it was sewn shut.
" Dear Mylo, we understand this is a very confusing time for you, but we invite you to join our online beginner fairy class to help you learn about your powers and your past. Us teachers can explain everything. "
How did anyone know about this...he didn't tell a soul. Fairy school? Fairies? That's what he is? I guess that is what you call a person with wings. But there were others, others like him. He knew that now. And he can learn a lot more now as well.
