Seven

Kiara sits with me at my table. I ordered her a sweet tea and some fries. She seems to like the music. It was different sitting with her, and I saw Dyani dancing with Adam. I think she's trying to make me jealous. I don't like her choice in men. But he definitely fits her wild personality. I watch as he grabs her ass dancing.

"You okay," Kiara asks me, drawing my attention back to the beauty next to me.

I nod. "She's just trying to get under my skin."

"Is it working?" She raises an eyebrow.

I grab her hand. "Not necessarily in terms of being jealous, I still don't want to see her get hurt, and I don't like her choice of company."

She nods. I bring her hand to my lips.

My eyes watch Brody and Zare argue something about her arm. I can't make out the whole conversation. He doesn't seem happy.

"What's that about?" My eyes motion towards them.

"I'm not really supposed to say anything, long story short, somebody put bruises on Zare's arm."

"Who?"

"Chetan, Brody will handle it."

I nod. I guess it really wasn't my business. I can't see that pussy handling anything though. I watch Brody pull Zare into his lap, kissing her, he does seem to love her. Whatever, I have enough girls to worry about. Dyani, Kiara.

The waitress brings me another beer. " Thanks babe."

She smiles at me.

"How are you drinking here?" Kiara whispers.

I chuckle. "I am not supposed to be talking about that."

I know this will be my last drink. I'm definitely not getting drunk around Kiara. I move the hair from her face.

"You know you don't have to change anything for me. I actually prefer the plaid sweater, simple old jeans and your glasses."

She shyly looks down. "Really?"

I smile, bringing my lips to her cheek.

I nearly roll my eyes, seeing Ajay enter the bar. He moves over to the bar, ordering whiskey. He then spots me and moves to my table.

"Chetan, I wasn't aware they serve people under 21 here." He chuckles, taking a seat across from me.

I roll my eyes.

"You better not be caught, because you have no time to be serving jail time."

I nod.

"Don't worry, I won't tell Kabir," he tells me.

"So while you're here?"

"Same as you watching Dev."

Dev and Ajay were definitely closer than me and Ajay, but they have known each other longer, their family being friends.

"Who's your friend?" Ajay eyes Kiara.

"Kiara."

Ajay smiles at her and reaches across the table for her hand. She shyly shakes it.

"I am Ajay."

"It looks like Dyani, got over you fast." Ajay drinks down his whiskey, singling the waiter to bring him another one .

"Yeah, thanks for pointing that out."

He laughs.

"How come your wife didn't come with you?"

He looks down for a moment, apparently trying to collect himself.

"She's really sick, which is why I won't be staying very long."

"I am sorry."

"Yeah, I guess marriage is for sickness and health, right?"

The band goes on intermission, and Dev walks over to our table. I see all the girls rush to hug him, you can tell they are all crushing on him. Some come to see the band. but many come just to see him.

"Ajay, what's happening?" He pats his shoulder.

"Just wanted to come down and check you out, and see you play."

"Sweet dude."

"But, I must get going, I need to be getting to Nora." I watch Ajay stand up from the chair.

"Hope she starts doing better," Dev says.

"Yeah me too, I hope she gets better soon."

"Thanks boys." Ajay pats my back before he leaves.

"Kabir says she's not doing good at all," Dev tells me.

I frown. "That's horrible.

"Yeah." Dev returns the frown.

"Who's this beauty?" He eyes Kiara.

"This is Kiara."

"She's even more gorgeous than you described."

I smile and her cheeks turn red.

"Wanna dance?" He reaches for her hand.

"I don't know, I'm not very coordinated for dancing."

"Everybody can dance, come on."

I smile as Dev leads her to the dance floor. Her laughter makes me happy. Dev is such a friendly, go lucky person, it's not long before anyone starts to love him.

I see Dyani walking to my table. I really wish she would just leave me alone. I don't like how I feel after talking to her. Right now, everything is just so negative between us. I didn't want Kiara upset, right now I'm not sure what my intentions are with our relationship.

"Chetan, I miss you." I see the tears in her eyes.

"Seems like you're having fun enough with Adam." I glare at her.

She looks down at the ground, and I do feel bad that she was upset.

"Please Chetan."

I take a deep breath. She sits in the spot next to me,. and I chug down the rest of my beer.

I feel her hands on my arm. I look at her face, and beautiful blue eyes meet mine.

"Dyani, I don't know what you want from me?"

She lays her head on my shoulder. "To forgive me."

I stand up from the table. "Dyani, I just think we are not a good fit anymore. I don't like the company you're keeping."

"No, this is about Kiara", she crossed her arms over her chest.

"No Dyani, it's about you. I told you I don't like drug use and hanging out with Brody."

She nods. "I am sorry, so are you and Kiara dating?"

Oh great, that's when she and Dev start walking back to our table.

"I don't know."

"What do you mean I don't know?" Dyani rolls her eyes.

"I like Kiara, but I am not rushing into it."

I watch Dyani Strom off, her feeling is clearly hurt.
