Solved!

Long Wei stuck his index and middle finger together. A thin line of purple qi surrounded his fingers and he zipped through the room. In the blink of an eye he placed four large sheets of gold on the ground. What was needed most was orange light, and there was no better metal to reflect light in that spectrum than gold. Now what he needed to figure out was how he was going to reflect light to all four lions at the exact time.

Something he didn't find difficult to figure out. He pointed at the four sheets of gold. They shot up into the air, angling themselves at a perfect angle so that light from the lamps bounced off their smooth reflective surfaces into the lions mouths. Beams of golden light filled the hallway in seconds, with light bouncing off every surface before striking the black rock at the centre.
