Long Wei quickly arrived at a basic conclusion after Qian Jian pulled out the cube. And he was confident their entourage had arrived at the same conclusion as he did. He saw it in their eyes—the brief flash of light or spark of satisfaction that colored their eyes the moment the cube cranked against the table. If they didn't, he would have been disappointed.

It also gave him a much clearer understanding of his role on this team. While, yes, each person here had outstanding backgrounds that stretched from one point to the next within the Imperial Haven Expanse, no one could truly match him within the younger generation when it came down to available resources.
