Chapter Two

******LAST SUMMER******

~Holly's Point Of View~

We were relaxing by the pool side and I started a conversation with Kanzie about her dating phobia. She refuses to admit that she actually has one, but you don't expect a guilty person to admit to their crimes now do you?!

"I can't wait for this year to end!" I exclaimed

"You have no idea how long I've waited to say the same thing." Kanzie adds

"Next year will be our last year of high school, after we have University, but before we have prom....."

"Isn't that months away?" Kanzie interrupts

"Yeah it is, but we have to be prepared."

"I don't plan on going anyway."

"Wait what!!!" I say with a shocked expression.

"Yeah Holly am not going."

"No! No! No! We are going to prom weather you like it or not."

"Am not saying you can't go... You can go without me, besides you have a date and i don't. Honestly I don't want to third wheel on the two of you."

"That's why we will get you a date before prom.'

"Say what now?!" She says looking at me like she just saw a dinosaur.

"You heard me."

"Holly you know I don't do relationships."

"Kanzie you've never been in one so how will you know how its going to hit or feel if you don't try it out."

"I don't need to try it out because I have eyes to observe... Do you remember Griffin from ninth grade? " she laughs slightly

"Okay what's your angle here?!" I say agitatedly.

"When you found out he was cheating on you with... Uhm... What's her name? Grace! Yeah Grace. You cried and looked miserable for almost a month. I don't want to end up like you back then." she laughs and winks a the end. I swear this child needs some ass whooping.

"Wow... That's really shady... But in my defense I had my share of bad luck, but you haven't." I sigh while sitting up straight preparing for her come back.

"I have made up my mind my answer is still no."

"Please kanz!" I try to plead with her using my most adorable face.

"No Holly, that face works wonders on Ryan and not me ."

By the Ryan is my boyfriend, we've been together for a years and three months now. Ryan's a football player 6ft plus a well built body damn, his chestnut hair that's always laid back perfectly and dazzling brown eyes that blend with his slightly tanned skin and beautiful pink lips that I love to devour. To add the cherry on top his smart and I love him a lot.

"Please... Pretty please, okay hear me out. If you try it out and you still set your mind to 'I hate love' then I will never bother you ever again and that's a promise."

"That's intriguing... Let me think about it."

"I promise I will never bring it up again ever if you just give it a shot." I am literally begging for this girl to find someone to spend her life with. Wow!

"Okay fine I will do it for you and for the sake of preserving my sanity." She says sitting back on the recliner chair.

"Yay!!" I hug her with extreme joy or maybe just the intention to suffocate her for being difficult.
