Let Her Breathe

Ivy, who was seated with Selena in the dining having dinner, glanced at her phone for what seemed like the hundredth time that day.

Gabriel had told her he would get back to her in the morning, and she had waited all morning for his call. Now it was almost bedtime, and he was yet to call.

She had been tempted to call him several times but had restrained herself from doing so since they had agreed that he would call, and she also didn't want to appear too desperate or impatient.

What was the problem? Didn't he want to meet with Selena again? Had he changed his mind? The way he had responded to her text almost immediately the previous night, she had thought he was eager to meet Selena too. Maybe Selena had been right. He only associated with people of his social status.

Well, that was his loss. She'd wait till after dinner, and if he still didn't call her, then she'd call him and tell him to get lost or go fuck himself.
