A Secret Admirer

The moment the meeting ended an hour later, she remained where she was seated and waited until everyone else had left, including Tessa, before going to take another look at the parcel.

The first thing she looked out for was a note, and she smiled when she saw one attached to the chocolate pack (Flowers are for beauty queens, and chocolates for sweet souls. Your secret admirer).

A secret admirer? Who could it be?

Was it Oliver? Nah! He would be the last person to do that. They had not seen nor interacted since their last encounter, and he was busy in the kitchen. So it was not him. It couldn't be him.

The more she stared at the parcel, the more curious she was since it was the first time she had ever gotten such a romantic gesture from anyone since her college days.

She had had her fair share of admirers who had sent gifts hoping to catch her attention, but she had not fallen for any. Or rather, had not been interested enough in any to fall for them.
