I Love Him

The next morning, during breakfast, Haewon thought about talking to her parents about Jake, but her mom, who had been watching her play with her food, was the first to speak up.

"You're not eating. Is it about Jake?" Nana asked, and Haewon nodded.

"Yes. But not in the way you think," Haewon said, and her parents exchanged a glance.

"And what way do you think we think?" Tan asked, and Haewon sighed as she dropped her cutlery.

"That's not important. Have you both forgiven him?" She asked, and Tan shrugged.

"As much as we don't like what he did, we understand that he was a victim. He was the major victim in all of this regardless of any angle we choose to look at it," Tan said, and Nana nodded in agreement.

"You should forgive him too," Nana said, and Haewon nodded.

"So, what do you think about him now? Would you approve of him if I were to choose to get back together with him?" Haewon asked, and Nana frowned.
