“See? That wasn’t so bad.” Ryan chuckled and kissed her forehead. “The advice you gave is very good. I’ll keep them in mind, and when the time comes, I’ll implement them properly.”

Joan blushed. “I’m glad to be of your service, Ryan.”

As the two were displaying their affection at the entrance of the Stonefall Village, someone suddenly cleared their throat.

Steward Lewis and Tom were side by side. They still looked hostile to each other, and by the looks of it, the two must have been in a heated argument earlier, so they looked for Ryan to serve as a mediator.

“Pardon me for interrupting your sweet time with Miss Joan, but there is something that I would like to discuss with you,” Steward Lewis said.

“He’s trying to steal the ring that you gave me!” Tom said. “Tell him that it belongs to me, Master Ryan!’

Joan looked at the two men with questioning looks, also tinged with impatience.
