While Leviathan and his allies were preparing for the incoming showdown against the invaders, Ethan was floating in space.

This was very different from the times he experienced Astral Projection. With the latter, he still had a level of control.

But now, he could do nothing but follow the power of a mysterious current leading him toward the void.

For some reason, the young man didn’t feel anxious or fearful.

Deep inside him, he understood that he was safe, and this was just a process that he needed to see through until the end.

As such, he didn’t resist as he floated to the void, which swallowed him whole.

Suddenly, the sound of a baby’s cry reached Ethan’s ears.

The young man looked in the direction where the sound was coming from. There, he saw a projection of Chloe holding a baby in her arms.

This was Ethan's first time seeing a newborn, and he wondered why they looked so small and wrinkly.
