"Even though you're not participating, you still came to a place like this. It seems our 'One-Winged Rakshasa' has quite a bit of free time."
A pleasant voice reached Fang Li's ears, causing him to stop in his tracks. A smile gradually appeared on his face as he turned around.
The person before him was none other than Sylvia.
"Didn't bring the 'Lone Poison Witch' with you?" she teased.
Her striking purple hair had been altered to its usual brown disguise, and she wore her signature hat. The only thing unchanged was her Queenvail Girls' Academy uniform. Sylvia looked at Fang Li with a playful smirk.
"I was planning to greet her."
Hearing this, Fang Li shrugged and replied, "If you want to see her, we can go together now."
At his words, Sylvia puffed out her cheeks, looking adorably resentful.
Seeing this, Fang Li couldn't help but chuckle. "You clearly want to be alone with me, yet you say things like that. That's just how girls are…"
After saying this, he turned and walked toward a nearby vending machine.
Sylvia followed, clearly dissatisfied. "You've become so cold."
It was no wonder she felt this way.
Three weeks apart was a long time for a couple deeply in love. After such a long separation, any girl would expect her partner to show some warmth upon reuniting.
Yet Fang Li was acting distant, which naturally made her upset. Not to mention, the last time they had met, Fang Li had completely "devoured" her.
Now, seeing him so indifferent, it was easy to imagine people whispering that Jie Long's 'One-Winged Rakshasa' was a heartless scoundrel who abandoned his lover after having his fun.
"Could it be that you've taken a liking to Orphelia and are planning to say goodbye to me?" Sylvia, unusually chatty, continued. "Did something really happen between you two?"
Listening to her questions, Fang Li only chuckled. He reached the vending machine, selected two hot drinks, handed one to Sylvia, and said with a grin, "Who knows? She is a cute girl, after all."
This statement made Sylvia puff out her cheeks even more. She snatched the drink, pouting in anger, but didn't take a sip. Instead, she held it in her hands, leaned against the wall next to the vending machine, and acted as if she didn't want to talk to Fang Li anymore.
Her childish display was both novel and amusing to Fang Li.
"Throwing a tantrum like this really doesn't suit you," he said helplessly, pulling her into his arms. "Are you really jealous?"
"Then go ask around," Sylvia shot back with a glare. "If your lover shared a bed with someone of the opposite sex for over ten days, wouldn't you be jealous?"
Despite her words, Sylvia didn't resist Fang Li's embrace. She simply leaned into his chest, making it clear she was just sulking.
Feeling the warmth of the girl in his arms and the faint scent of her perfume, Fang Li smirked. "So, what do you want me to do?"
"Cheer me up," Sylvia said with a soft laugh. "Make me happy."
"Unfortunately, I'm not good at cheering up girls," Fang Li said without hesitation. "I'm better at fighting. How about I spar with you?"
As he spoke, he subtly patted Sylvia's little butt.
"...I see you're only good at being a rogue," Sylvia's charming face turned slightly red as she whispered, "There are so many people around here. Aren't you afraid of being exposed?"
Indeed, people were constantly coming and going around them, and some occasionally glanced their way, perhaps finding it unusual to see a student in Jie Long's uniform and a student in Queenvail Girls' Academy uniform embracing so openly.
If it weren't for the fact that they were tucked away in a corner by the vending machine, with Fang Li's back turned and Sylvia in disguise, this scene would have undoubtedly drawn even more attention.
At the very least, the sight of Jie Long's second-ranked student getting close to a girl would be enough to stir up discussion.
And if the girl in question was from Queenvail Girls' Academy, then Sylvia's identity would almost certainly be exposed.
By now, nearly the entire world knew about Fang Li and Sylvia's close relationship. If anyone saw Fang Li hugging a student from Queenvail Girls' Academy, the immediate assumption would be that she was Sylvia.
At that point, their relationship would be confirmed, and within an hour, the internet would explode with headlines.
The situation teetered on the edge of a major revelation.
"What do you think?" Sylvia asked playfully. "Is it too late for me to disguise myself?"
Fang Li smirked. Instead of answering, he tilted Sylvia's chin up and, as she gazed at him in shock, kissed her.
"Mm...!"
Sylvia's body instantly froze.
"Oh!"
Gasps of surprise rippled through the crowd, and some even began taking pictures.
Realizing this, Sylvia instinctively struggled.
However, her resistance was feeble—almost comically so—and after a moment, she simply gave up.
"Chuu..."
Amidst the soft sound of their kiss, what felt like an eternity passed before Fang Li finally let go of Sylvia.
Sylvia panted slightly, glaring at Fang Li. She wanted to say something, but with all the eyes on them, she hesitated to speak loudly.
In response, Fang Li grinned and said, "If I turn around now, what do you think would happen when they see my face?"
There was no need for an answer—it would undoubtedly cause a commotion.
In other words, Fang Li wasn't concerned in the slightest.
Thus, Sylvia could only glare at him, grab his hand, push down his head, and quickly pull him along the wall to make their escape.
The onlookers, assuming Sylvia was just embarrassed and trying to flee, chuckled knowingly, entertained by the scene.
For them, it was just an amusing piece of gossip.
But if they realized that the "shy girl" making a hasty retreat was actually the world's number one Diva, the situation would escalate into chaos.
After all, among the crowd, at least eighty percent were likely Sylvia's fans.
Including the girls lurking in the corner, secretly trailing Sylvia with flushed faces, feeling the same mix of excitement and disbelief.
